To use the mobile app, you must first have received a login code from your organization for one-time registration in the app.

Using examples, the CHECK-AT app allows you to thoroughly examine the digital and physical security features of the new passport generation and ID card – even without any special expertise. Local verification without retrieving personal data from the internet: During the QR code check, the information contained in the QR code is only displayed on the verifying device. The relevant information is directly included in the QR code and is not retrieved from a database. The app connects to the internet during the startup process to check the availability of new certificates necessary for the correct and secure verification of the QR code. If new certificates are available, the app automatically downloads them to the device in use. Furthermore, the app does not connect to the internet at any other time. No personal data is retrieved from the internet or uploaded to the internet.
