Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ShowOne at 61% against JamFactory's 0%. ShowOne also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (106 vs 2). JamFactory's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. ShowOne sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and JamFactory sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

JamFactory holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShowOne has 106 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of ShowOne's written reviews are positive against 0% of JamFactory's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

ShowOne ships an update every 5 weeks, JamFactory every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
