Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
SJCAM Zone holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SJCAM Zone has 767 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of SJCAM Zone's written reviews are positive against 14% of fun DV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SJCAM Zone ships an update every 2 weeks, fun DV every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
