Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bible TV at none against Living Scriptures's 8. Bible TV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 17.0). Living Scriptures's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Living Scriptures sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Bible TV asks for nothing beyond the download.
Bible TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Living Scriptures has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Living Scriptures ships an update monthly, Bible TV every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
