Verdict
Living Scriptures and K both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 98% of K's written reviews are positive against 48% of Living Scriptures's. K also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (13.3 vs 17.0). Living Scriptures's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 211). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Living Scriptures against 4.8 for K. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Living Scriptures has 10K ratings behind it against 211, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of Living Scriptures's written reviews are positive against 98% of K's.
