Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Prompt+ Teleprompter at 4.7 against DVP's 3.0. Prompt+ Teleprompter also leads on ratings volume (317 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). DVP's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.4 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prompt+ Teleprompter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. DVP asks for nothing beyond the download.
Prompt+ Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prompt+ Teleprompter has 317 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of DVP's written reviews are positive against 48% of Prompt+ Teleprompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
DVP ships an update every 5 months, Prompt+ Teleprompter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
