Splix.io is a fun online multiplayer game where you compete against other players all around the world. Try to capture as many blocks as possible and become the number one on the leaderboard. In splix.io your objective is to capture as many blocks as possible, draw a line around an area and get back to your own land in order to capture the area. But watch out, because if anyone touches your line before you reach your own land, you die. Also you know what's cool? It's against actual other players. Yeah that's right, that's why the lag is there. It's actually online, unlike some paper-ish apps where you're just playing against a bunch of bots.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Agar.io holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Agar.io has 221K ratings behind it against 567, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Agar.io's written reviews are positive against 31% of splix.io's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Agar.io ships an update every 4 weeks, splix.io every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
