Practice reading EKGs in lead II Basic EKG interpretation is more accurately described as an intermediate level skill that takes time, practice and refreshing. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, EMT or tech your ability to read and pickup on basic EKG changes in real time is essential. Practice with an app that actually looks like what you see at work. Use the app’s ‘Study Mode’ to choose one or multiple rhythms to view and compare. A brief description of each rhythm is provided, you can also pause and restart rhythms. Delete and add specific rhythms as desired. Rates, amplitudes and widths of the rhythms are dynamically set which provides for a more realistic simulation and variation within each type of rhythm. Use the app’s ‘Game Mode’ to challenge yourself to identify rhythms presented randomly in lead II. If desired, you can also custom specify which rhythms to include in the game. Access to Study Mode and Game Mode requires a subscription via in-app purchase. Please Read: The purpose of this app is not to teach basic EKG interpretation but rather to practice basic EKG interpretation. If you don’t know basic EKG interpretation seek out additional resources such as classes, books, online materials and mentors to learn more and further your understanding. Note: The cardiac rhythms presented by the app are simulated approximations. There is NO guarantee to the accuracy of rhythms presented. While accuracy is not guaranteed it is a goal. VeinScanner Pro is a vein finder app, with zoom functionality and simulated infra-red to replicate the look and feel of a dedicated vein scanning device. VeinScanner Pro uses multispectral imaging principles and the intrinsic optical properties of skin to produce enhanced images of veins; it boosts oxyhemoglobin/deoxyhemoglobin absorption contrast and reduces the contribution of superficially-scattered and specularly-reflected light to the overall image.
