Easy to use!
I’m a a Bel Canto singer in Cincinnati Youth Choir. My friends and I use this a lot when doing songs for fun, as well as when we are working by ourselves at home. Thank you for making this so easy to use! The only problem I’ve had is that the blow feature isn’t working on my phone. Besides that, great app!

Tuning the Pitch
I sing in a semi-professional local LGBTQIA chorus in Louisville, KY. While I do have a keyboard downstairs, I don’t use it often since chancing upon this app during Covid.
I highly recommend this app, especially in the keyboard mode. I tried the pitch-pipe mode but found it more difficult to navigate. I did learn to read music at an early age but was never able to focus long enough to practice, so use my voice as my my musical instrument.
When our wonderfully trained and experienced director tells us to find the middle of the pitch, I can easily hear it in this app.

Great App
Extremely useful App when you accidentally leave your mechanical pitch pipes behind for a choir rehearsal as I did the other day!
The Best App that rules them all
The designer of this app really understands what they are doing and what singers and musicians need.
Very handy
My mom, a former opera singer, turned me on to this tuner. She uses it to determine what note singers in recorded performances “actually” hit, rather than what was written! (She’s a stickler!!😊) It is a nifty little app with a surprising number of options!
I dropped a star for the following reasons:
I play bass, so for tuning in the lower register, I have to use the keyboard to match the pitch because the pitch-pipe is way too many octaves away (at least for my ear), and the timbre is a little nasal and hard to hear from a tiny phone speaker compared to a bass amplifier. However, I find this tuner FAR preferable to Fender’s version. (And you can turn the ads off!)
The keyboard option with so many octaves is really handy, but I find latency a bit of an issue if trying to peck out a melody at tempo.

Disabled my sound
I liked the app at first but at times, quite frequently, the notes would not sound. Settings, volume controls, etc. all OK. I would have to restart the phone to get it to work. Then I noticed that when Pocket Pitch went silent, so did music, YouTube, everything else. So I deleted the app and have had no more sound problems.

The Screen Slides
The only real problem is that the piano part slide all too easily. Unless the screen is struck exactly, it moves sideways.
I have tried to correct this in my iPhone, but no adjustment makes any difference.

At last, a note the whole choir can hear in the pub after a concert. A real godsend for me.
So handy!
Extremely useful app. Simple and quick to use. I have even used it to assist in audiating (sonically visualising) phrases while travelling to rehearsals and gigs. Helps me to practice and learn in the correct key while going over new or difficult pieces. I’ve even used it on gigs! The piano keyboard is so handy! Great musical tool. Along with a metronome and tuner - it’s at the top of my musical toolbox!
