The app wouldn’t let me change settings
My son ordered a computer while he was staying here, but had to leave on a trip before it arrived. He had it delivered to the house, but nobody was home to accept the delivery. I signed the back of the door tag and left details on where to put the package as instructed on the tag, but when making a delivery attempt the following day, the driver didn’t even look at the back of the tag and left again with the package. Calling the 800 number gave me few options, and the robot receptionist wanted me to pick up the package an hour away within a certain two-hour time frame. Thanks to flooding and a business closure, neither of the two FedEx drop off locations in my town are open, and when I tried to choose one 10 miles away, the app would not let me.
I finally repeated “talk to a person” often enough that the automated service connected me with someone who could contact the driver and give instructions for delivery, and the driver returned later that second day and left the package, along with the door tag containing my signature. But why have the app if I can’t do that from there? All I can do is track the package and the rest of the app seems to be there for show.
(Also, if I say “talk to a person” while in the automated voice system, that means that the choices offered there are insufficient and I need human interaction. Don’t keep pushing me to choose menu options.)Show lessZero stars
If there had been a selection for zero stars I would have used it!! Recently we were looking for a package to be delivered and got a notification that it had been dropped off at the gate on our driveway. We don’t have a gate on our driveway!! We have a cattleguard that vehicles drive over!! This package was no where around our driveway!! When we got to looking it was tucked in high grass and weeds on my neighbors place. We have a pipe entryway with our address in big bold letters on the entryway as well as on our mailbox that is mounted to the entryway!! FedEx drivers need to be instructed on how to read!! This is not the first time stuff like this has happened!! Most of the time when we get a notification that a package has been delivered and it’s not at our house we start checking with the neighbors and usually find it, but this is not my job!! You were paid to deliver it to my address!! DO YOUR JOB!!
Today our package was delivered to the neighbors front porch. Can these drivers not read? My address is cut out of a steel plate and welded on the entryway, my mailbox is right at my driveway too with my name and address on it as well.
I’m frustrated!! Just do your job!!Show lessLame and dated
My biggest complaint about this app as it doesn’t retain the tracking numbers that you have previously entered. And then it prompt you for your notification preferences which I have said about 20 times now that keeps coming back with an air saying you know it can’t complete the process or whatever. Another big complaint about the app is you can’t really see where the driver is like you can’t on the UPS app today’s world we should be able to track that package driver down to the meter.. The other issue isn’t necessarily with the app but it’s with my driver. He left a big package on the side of our house instead of bringing it to the front door didn’t ring the doorbell. If I wouldn’t of stepped outside, I wouldn’t even known the package was here. We have package staffs in our area quite often. You think that the driver would use some common sense. He does leave the packages up on our patio. He leaves them right in front right in the way so I can see him there’s plenty of places up on our patio. They can just slide it over 1 foot and it would be out of sight. The other thing is when he does package the door he doesn’t ring the doorbell isn’t that part of the process you dropped the package off and you ring the doorbell to let the person know they’ve got a package out front honestly, some training is in order.Show less
