Updated Share Extension (iOS 17 only) I am continuing to rewrite parts of Parcel using SwiftUI. This time it is a turn for the new delivery form which looks almost like the old one but operates very differently under the hood. Unfortunately, at this moment it is introduced only for the share extension.

Placeholders We are introducing support for placeholders. A placeholder is a template for an upcoming delivery (which does not have a tracking number yet). To add a placeholder, start adding a new delivery and type any four digits (e.g. 1234). Once you add it, you will be able to later edit it (to set a real tracking number) and change its expected delivery date in the delivery actions. New Settings The app settings were rewritten in SwiftUI. There are only minor visual differences compared to the previous version, however, under the hood everything is completely different.

• completed migration to the new app database schema. More information on that below • improved messaging when a new Amazon delivery is added manually with the Amazon integration already enabled • improved messaging for a rare case when iOS asks the app to sign out user after Apple ID becomes invalid This updates brings a significant change to the app database schema. This is an internal change that is necessary to perform future updates and code rewrites in the app code. Once you open the app, it will be empty but then it will load all of your deliveries.

Carrier Color Coding I am pleased to introduce one of the most highly-requested features - color-coding of deliveries based on a carrier. You can enable this feature in the app settings and after that, every delivery will have its own color for the day counter and status icon. The color is based on a carrier. Redesigned Apple Watch app for watchOS 10 Apps in watchOS 10 make considerate use of background content to convey additional information. Parcel is following this approach by providing different backgrounds for deliveries based on a carrier. This helps users to navigate and quickly identify deliveries. When you select a delivery in the new watchOS app, you will the latest status of your delivery. Using the Digital Crown you can go switch to the next page and see its full history with all events listed in one place. Parcel widgets in smart stack on Apple Watch also have different backgrounds.

Improved Siri support on Apple Watch. You can ask Siri "Track package [delivery name]" to track a package. To use that on Apple Watch, you will need to have the app watch installed and refreshed with latest data (meaning that it has to be refreshing periodically in background as well).

Description of Parcel

If you are looking for an app to track deliveries on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch - Parcel is the best choice for you. With this application you can promptly access tracking information for 300 delivery services, including UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, TNT, LaserShip, Aramex, OnTrac, China Post, Amazon Logistics and many other carriers. Full list of supported carriers is available at: https://parcel.app With our unique carrier recognition function, adding a new delivery is just a matter of seconds. Sometimes you won't even need to enter a tracking number, you can use a barcode scanner which is available right in the app. Amazon integration in Parcel allows you to get your packages added automatically from your Amazon account. Once an order is shipped, it will appear in Parcel. This is done in a secure and privacy-friendly way with your credentials never leaving the device. You can also locate your delivery on the map or manage your deliveries using Web Access (web.parcelapp.net) - easy and simple. Parcel has a native macOS app available for free in the Mac App Store. Parcel utilizes the power of iOS to provide you the best possible user experience. You can use its widgets to see your upcoming deliveries and the share extension to add a new delivery directly from any other app. Push notifications provided by Parcel are more convenient than from any other app. They are being sent only from 8am to 10 pm according to your timezone, so you will not be bothered at night (however, you can disable this option in the settings). Some features, such as push notifications and tracking more than 3 deliveries are limited to premium subscribers. Current price for the premium subscription is $4.99 per year, and may vary from country to country. Parcel's privacy policy, as well as subscription terms are available at https://parcel.app/privacy-with-terms.html.

Reviews of Parcel

  • Excellent App - Mostly

Used to use a really popular tracker for years, paid for it. Lost support for fedex so tried aftership. Free and had no issues but recently it lost all history and nothing is “free”. Trying this app, purchased the year and so far it’s pretty nice. Does what I need. Something about the list view seems off. Like not enough contrast or knowing what service it is. Also, tapping on a track to bring up the info, you really want to tap the tracking to take you to the web right, because it’s bold, blue like a link right? Nope. You have to tap the … and then hit website. I’m a visual person like most and this app needs more visuals. I can’t pinpoint it but it needs deeper colors? Icons for the carriers? All in all, I really like the app and hope it sticks around. Clean, clutter free and as advertised. Looking forward to improvements on the visual side.
  • 👍🏾 dev is on top of it ☺️

Developer obviously cares about his product – he responds to everyone, and the app itself seems fine-tuned and elegant. I know that it’s gotta be tough to run a delivery app—there are obviously a lot of variables out of the developer’s control -- so we should all take that into account. The price is really good for the service. 👉🏼 One thing: I don't know if it's technically possible, but I would like to fine-tune the notifications to receive them *only* when a package is delivered (I'm not interested if it's "on its way"). Is this user option possible to implement? I'm being buried in Parcel notifications! Thank you, dev! 🙏

Update: in over a year of using this app, it has not failed me. It's one of the few apps that I can say is 1000% paying for! I still have that quibble about notifications: I don't want ones which say a package is "on its way" – that's just clutter for me. I hope the dev can somehow give users an option to choose which notifications they get, if that's even possible (a response to this suggestion would be fantastic).

    Developer Response

Hi, Many thanks for your warm feedback, it is appreciated! You can enable the "Import notifications only" mode in the app settings. It will make only final delivery event notifications to arrive.
  • Reliable and feature rich (edit Nov 2023)

I have been a user for over 4 years. Parcel has evolved throughout the years constantly adding support to more shipping companies, refining the interface to a modern and pleasant experience and adding valuable new features to track your parcels. The subscription model is not overpriced and gives access through any device in the chosen digital ecosystem. I haven’t used any other apps in this segment, but I assure you cannot go wrong with this one.

Update 2023. I think I’ve used Parcel for over ten years now. I never looked back and I cannot recollect any frustrations or annoyances in my experience using it. For me it’s like it is part of iOS and Mac OS. I assure you I rely on parcel more than I rely on my doorbell to know when my parcels arrived or to help me troubleshoot if they’re strayed. I simply cannot recommend it enough.
