  • great worldwide tracker

    have used my itraqs to keep track of the kids and my cars as well as my bags when traveling internationally. when you have a thousand dollars of dive gear it is really nice to know it made the flight with you. have been a user since the original itraq and will continue to be a customer as i am very happy with their product.

  • Serving the purpose

    I agree with other reviewers comments & find the geofence option entirely useless. It gets triggered randomly and inaccurately when I try to set it.
    In fact I’ve been on a landline call with my relative & had it indicating that they had left the geofence zone & were a good km away?!

    But big picture - this device does the job for a person with dementia who wanders. I does accurately track him when I use the preset intervals & locates him when I ping him.
    The other good thing is the battery life - I live out of town & so can easily go for a couple of weeks before having to recharge. It’s small enough to be innocuous on his keys that he carries everywhere.
    And I’ve had excellent customer service so far.

    But for sure improvements are necessary.

  • It works when it works IF it works...

    My iTraq 3 worked very well for a couple months then performance deteriorated significantly along with battery life. A replacement “nano” was no better with the device registering the correct location approx 25% of the time.

    Customer service says it’s the poor AT&T/ T-Mobile 3G coverage in the area that’s the problem (which doesn’t explain why it worked so well before unless those networks are getting WORSE over time - which begs the question, “why purchase a tracking device that’s based on a network that becoming obsolete?”

    Of course it could just be the device that’s the problem. In which case the solution to the issue is beyond their capability or current funding levels. I will say that customer service was very polite and fairly responsive. Unfortunately that won’t help anyone looking to use the device to help provide peace of mind regarding loved ones.

  • Does not work

    It worked for a few months and now is stuck in the same place since June 21. Tech support has not been unhelpful- that said it was working from their end! I have reinstalled the app to no avail! I’m looking for another tracking solution.

  • Great tracking device, poor everything else

    App constantly crashes and hasn’t been updated for iPhone X. Tech support is beyond abysmal, incompetent, and condescending... my device was reporting temperatures below freezing in mid-July (90s) and the company said it was a “secondary feature” and the primary was working fine so it was not covered. Only after I told them I intended to hire a lawyer and sue did they start to be cooperative. Never do business with them. Period.

  • iTraq App difficulties

    This app is in serious need of an update and the data service needs to be revamped. Here are a few major issues:

    1.) The app or devices (it is not clear which is the problem) often shows the devices (2) as being over 120 meters from their actual location when at rest. I live in a large city with generally pretty good mobile services.

    2.) The app itself does not provide any notification for any triggers - device out of zone, fall alert, fast movement - which is an issue as I am required to open the app regularly to monitor the devices and locations. This brings in the next issue ...

    3.) The data presentation is poor, refreshes are very slow and often cause the user interface to return to more recent results when reviewing older (5-6 hours prior) data. This makes the app frustrating to use. This issue occurs on very high speed wifi and on LTE mobile data.

    4.) To the point above, even opening the app takes longer than it should. I assume this a data delivery issue, but it should not take 1-2 minutes on wifi to deliver date/time and (sometimes inaccurate) positioning data.

    I have used this app and devices for more than a year now. I would like to see the app updated to deliver notifications (yes, they are fully enabled for the app) and the ability to review historical data more easily or at least see the exceptions (out of bounds, fall, movement) more readily. More reliable data delivery would be good as well.

  • Not reliable

    If you a seeking a device to track a memory impaired senior do not buy this item. It works only sporatically & that is not sufficient I’m greatly disappointed. Support is hit & miss & slow.
  • The best tracking system

    Itraq 3 is the best bar far for tracking. It even has temperature sensor
  • Works well

    I just got the new itraq3 device and the app has been doing a good job tracking it. Seems to be pretty close to the actual location. They can definitely add some more features to the app for tracking though. It's missing on demand mode
  • Purchaser

    Somethng is very wrong either with this porduct or the app. I think the problem is with the company. They have absolutely no phone number at all to contact them. The product does not work and their is no way to contact them other than by email which is not returned. I've been trying to charge the porduct for 3 hours and it is not charging. Do not waste your money.
