I never leave actual reviews on anything, so let this be a testimony within itself hahahah. As a highschool Junior, I can attest that this is the best app ever. Thank you Google for making this free, it’s ridiculous that some apps charge students for a genuine learning experience. angle I was super skeptical of this app at first, when my friend recommended it. So skeptical that I downloaded it, but didn’t even open it until a year later. Now that I’ve been using it , I can’t believe survived 2 full highschool years without using it. I needed this app for Algebra 2 because I was not learning efficiently with my given course material, and failed in my sophomore year. I knew I needed to pass this year, but it was still a struggle to do without cheating. This app doesn’t just give me answers, it explains how to get them step by step not only so I can understand but so I can have proof if my teacher ask lol. I am passing all of my assignments so far, so the future is looking bring for me. As an online student, this is the best tool out there for anyone who cares about their learning. Algebra doesn’t scare me anymore thanks to Socratic, honestly. Try it, you won’t regret it.

Useless
I installed this app to see what it was for, after about a minute I wasn’t even sure it was running. I use a iPad Pro exclusively mounted in closed frame because I have grand Children and i need to exercise reasonable since their very young. Problem is that the frame is firmly mounted to my desktop, it doesn’t rotate. This app opens the camera and starts in portrait mode. The wall behind the iPad is very dark walnut and unlighted so the screen showed nothing at all which made it impossible to read anything or know what input it was waiting for. To proceed I would have had to unplug the iPad then disassemble the frame assembly just to take the iPad out [of the frame] to stand it on edge so I could read what was on the screen. This wasn’t going to happen, I have low tolerance for sloppy coding that couldn’t even check the environment it was running on and accommodate the screen orientation immediately.
End of story, there were no proper startup checks and Am not tolerant of arrogant coding.

I teach middle school in Saint Petersburg Florida. I was hired, to go into every classroom, due to my education to step in up when the teacher slot was empty and teach until they hired a new teacher. Although I studied college algebra college trigonometry economics and other high-end mathematics,Not working with it for over 30 years. The Socrates app has made it possible for me to gather the math information that I need including helping me work problems, showing the problem solving in detail, giving me the rules, and generally being a great tutor. This is definitely an app that you want in your repertoire.

are you like me? waiting 6 days before school starts to start your 40 page geometry packet? if so, this app is THE APP to get. i use this app religiously. i would have never passed algebra 1 without this app and i would most definitely not be getting a good first grade in geometry. to whoever made the app socratic, i hope both sides of your pillow are cold, your charger always works, your blanket always covers your feet, you never step on a lego, you always find your size in shirts, pants, shoes, etc. , i hope that you live the life you have desired since a child, i hope this app is making you millions. i love you random person who made this app. i hope life treats you well <3

Great App but There’s a Good Chunk Missing
I would give it 5 stars, but I feel like there is so much left out! It’s such a great app and helps with homework all around, but in the American History section, they do not include ANYTHING regarding Black History. The civil rights movement, black power movement, Black American Heroes aren’t there! Not even just Black History, but the Chicano Movement and Farmworkers rights. There’s so much that just isn’t there and it’s kind of disappointing. Google does all the doodles every month to acknowledge these people, but it takes a lot more. I submitted some feedback and not sure if they saw it, but here’s a review. Again it’s a great app and helps SO much, but there’s also a lot missing! 😊😕

College student life saver
I used to have this app back when I was in middle school before it was run by Google. However, I came back to it as I am now a student at my local university and I found that it has improved a lot since Google has taken over. Essentially this app is a central hub for all of the knowledge that can be found on Google including quizlets and random and useful facts. It is extremely helpful for taking quizzes and tests and also for actually learning things. However the only reason I gave it a four out of five is because it still isn’t perfect through no fault of its own. Unfortunately in my book a perfect five would have to mean that the app has all the knowledge that you need unfortunately it doesn’t but for me it’s the highest rating that this app could ever achieve. Would definitely recommend for anyone.

This app is poggers!
I have only used this app for 10 minutes, and it is absolutely amazing. Yesterday, I saw a TikTok that said it was a great app, so I downloaded it. Today, I was doing my math homework and realized this would be a great time to try it. I took a photo of a word problem, and it showed me a pdf of the answer key. (I didn’t use the key for the whole thing. I did the questions then checked my answers with the key, so I could teach myself if I was wrong.) Just for fun, I took a picture of my social studies homework. The app told me a few things about Ancient Greece, and boom. Pdf of the answer key. If you are a burnt out gifted kid or have piles of missing assignments, this app is for you!
