  • Bad product, doesn’t work as described

    Terrible app. Can’t even find the sub menu settings described under general > restrictions. Yet I have iOS 13.3
    Such a silly product with useless developers.

  • Terrible

    It’s just terrible I’m English and this app is American I hate it it takes forever to reset itself if you have changed the time limit I hate it it’s just terrible
  • Very poor

    I liked the concept and it just does not work. I’m pretty shocked a major corporation is willing to put something on the market so poor.

    It took me 3 days to find out that the online backup storage they had advertised was not available on a Mac. They simply mis sold that bit of the product.

    Online help of any kind is not good enough for such a complex product. For example instructions are in many places outdated.

    I’ve just tested the child safety bit. I fortunately tested this before making my daughters use it. In addition to protecting them from doing anything nefarious it protects them from doing their homework. If I wanted to stop them doing anything on the internet then I would just ban them

    I keep getting into awful loops along the lines of Norton protection stopping Norton updates.

    Hello, Child safety with Norton Family protects the child as defined in the house rules by the parent. You can set time schedules as required and allow/deny websites such that the child can browse the internet safely and complete their homework.
  • Unusable

    I’ve been trying to log into this app with my iPhone for a couple weeks, but I repeatedly get an error message stating, “There was a problem contacting our servers. Please try again after sometime.” I am then forced to click refresh, which sends me right back to the login screen. I have not been able to log in and use the app at all.

  • This app needs so much help

    Downloaded this app on my daughter’s new iPhone 6S. Got everything set up only to find that she can no longer use any of her social platforms. This app blocks all social media apps. She can no longer use Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Messenger..... Total pain. So now in order for her to use any of these apps, she has to log into them from a website. This is ok except for the fact that not all of these apps have websites (e.g. Tiktok, Snapchat...).

    On top of this, there is no parental app or easy way to control or manage you child’s devise. There is no parental app to do this. You actually have to log into a website from a computer. You can try to log into the website from your phone, but by the time you are done trying to navigate Norton’s poorly designed website, you will want to throw your phone up against a wall. Norton has been promising a parental control app for months but still nothing.

    This app is definitely not worth what Norton charges for it. In fact, it’s not worth anything at all. I’m done with it. Cancelling the service and looking for something different. I suggest that you run as far away from this app as you can!

  • I give this app 1 star.

    I do not feel this app is reliable. I can not get the profile To load on my IPhone XsMax.

    I have emailed support and chatted with support. I am sent to a “higher” level of support each time with no resolve.

    I was promised a 48hour call back after my case was escalated to a higher technician. NO call back day 3 now.

    I have erased my phone and set it up like new to see if it was an app compatibility issue. The vpn installs fine, but the profile installation won’t complete.

    Online It says my apps software is outdated however I deleted and installed The updated app several times.

    I am —-highly—- disappointed, especially since I have been a loyal Norton subscriber for years.

    This kind of customer service really makes me question whether my other anti-virus software is even functioning properly.

    I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP.

  • Other reviewers are just salty.

    My parents installed this app on my phone, and I am honestly just disappointed with how other reviewers treat it. This app does what it says it does, and does it fairly well. It’s supposed to replace the phone’s browser with something more easily traceable for your parents, and that’s exactly what it is and what it does.

    Now, that isn’t to say it’s perfect. New tabs take a considerable amount of time to load, and certain websites, like the one my school uses for grades, are pretty poorly optimized for it. Overall, it works well enough to be perfectly acceptable.

  • Bad Choice, doesn’t work and support can’t help!!!

    I used the time monitoring portion of Norton Family to restrict our two sons phones from 10am to 5:30 am. During this time it removed the icons from the phones. At 5:30 am the icons did not return. I called support and they could not see in THEIR system what was being transmitted to the phone app. I disabled the phone/iPad feature and after an hours the apps returned. Even though it was disabled the next evening it turned the icons off, at 5:30am again it did not turn back on and never did. I tried everything to gain control of the phone, but since when it took away the icons it took the norton app too, i cannot get into the app to put in the over ride password. I cant remove the app from the phone until it is unlocked and can not unlock it. We will be cancelling this service and going to Mcafee!!!

  • A waste of time

    This app doesn’t really seem to work all that well. It doesn’t support the monitoring of safari and seemingly deletes it. Then there’s the forced vpn. It’s annoying, period. It doesn’t allow the download of other vpn’s and the vpn the app comes with can protect against inappropriate content but doesn’t help with the internet speed at all. The worst part is that it’s a complete requirement to use WiFi. No vpn, no WiFi, no Internet. I don’t really see myself using the safe search all that much and unless certain improvements are made, I wouldn’t recommend this app. Please look for another family protection app that actually works.

  • THE WORST! DONT BUY

    Let me say this nicely; It’s not worth it at all! Please turn around and continue doing whatever you were doing before! This app is VERY PROTECTIVE! I have 3 accounts; my phone, my I Pad and my Computer. Once I open up to see that ALL of my apps were missing on my I Pad. I was shocked and thought that someone stole my identity or something. But no! It was this Stupid App. It took away my Apps
