Wonderful App
I joined this app around 6/7 years ago. A lot of people would have completed it by now but I have never worried about being speedy Gonzales. You can learn at your own pace. Alexa, turn on plug seven. After years of singing and not reading music I can now read basic music. This skill has helped me a lot at choir. I never thought I would ever play the piano but can play some basic chords . I am around half way through the app. Since joining they have added so many new functions and songs. I have found the developers to be supportive, helpful and encourage you to practice. Plus the Facebook group.
I find it easy to follow the courses and there are lots of songs to practice. With new songs being added regularly. Personally I feel it’s good value for what it provides you with if you compare it with lessons. If you want to learn piano this is a good start.

Love it
Love the app and everything it has to offer. However there are two things i would love to see improved for it to turn into a 5 star. First of all it would be really nice, when playing songs, to be able to go back a bit to maybe replay a specific part without having to restart the whole song. Secondly im not sure if this has to do with just my piano but there is a delay in terms of what is on the screen and what is heard in the speakers when connected my my Roland FP-30x. So in order to match the song I have to play the notes later then what the app expects them and therefore sometimes the app thinks I missed the notes. I noticed there is some tolerance already added but I think this needs to be improved a bit further especially since there is a nice feel to sometimes intentionally delaying a note briefly for effect but even without this the app sometimes thinks I missed keys when in fact I didn't. I'm sure it has to do with the piano and connection but I know that is not something this app has much control over.

Good but…
So I downloaded this because I wanted to play the piano, when I downloaded it, I was expecting to be flooded with “GET PREMIUM NOW” sort of things, and I wasn’t. So I was under the influence that the courses were free to learn and the songs are the only thing I need to pay to learn after I was told by the app that I needed premium to play them. So I signed up for the free trial, and after a week I wanted to continue using it but without the songs. But guess what? When I went to continue the course I was learning, it told me I needed premium. Now the subscription is crazy expensive and of course I couldn’t pay for that monthly or yearly. I really wanted to learn the piano and real lessons are expensive too, the concept and lessons/courses are really good, it makes playing and learning the piano really fun, not necessarily like a game like other have said, but still really fun. I was really excited that I could learn how to play all these songs and read complicated sheet music, and the price ruined it. I understand that you need to make money, but most people (I think) are not willing to pay $25 a month or like more that $100 a year just for this, so please try to make it cheaper so that more people (including me) can afford to learn the piano with this app.
