  • Crashes on startup

    I know this is an old piece of software, but I still have a HomeBrite bulb that I use and had scheduled the way I needed it.

    Well, we were hit by Hurricane Ida here in New Orleans, no power for two weeks. The bulb has apparently forgotten its schedule (understandable), but I haven't used the Feit HomeBrite app on this phone, ever. I just downloaded it, and it crashes right after startup.

    Please fix this, I know it just needs updating to the latest OS and Feit is a large enough company that they can afford the menial cost associated with such an update... after all, it really doesn't look good for Feit Electric to have such a deeply unpopular product rating in the App Store... (hint hint)
  • Don't buy until they fix

    I had not updated this app on all my devices because I didn't like some changes . After I updated to 14.5 the app made me update it, now it crashes everytime I try to login to access my bulbs. Thankfully I have one old phone that won't go to iOS 14 so I can still work my bulbs, but if that phone dies I will be out of luck. I have the Bluetooth bulbs but I know Feit has some more advanced bulbs. I would not buy anything until they fix this issue. Until this I had been extremely pleased these were a 5 star bulb for me. If they fix this issue I will change this review.
  • App is completely non-functional

    You really get what you pay for. I bought one of these bulbs off the clearance rack at Ace and now I know why it was there.
    Open the app, click or touch ANYTHING and it immediately crashes. Seems this is just how it is, based on the other reviews. I guess I’ll count myself lucky that my bulb at least lights up, so my security light will work until I have a chance to get the extension ladder back up there to change it out.
    Just take it off the App Store if you’re not going to back it anymore.
  • App suddenly stopped working

    I was happy with my HomeBrite bulb, but then the app all of a sudden stopped opening. Looked at the reviews, and I am giving up hope on it working with my phone again. 😕
    If you make the mistake of buying one of these bulbs, it isn’t the worst thing. Just be sure to have a back up plan. I was lucky that it was used on a lamp by my desk so not so bad to have to manually turn it off/on.
    Another note: this bulb doesn’t allow for you to turn off/on when you are too far away. My reason for the purchase was to flip it on and off when we aren’t home.
  • Glitchy

    I’ve had my lightbulb for a few years now and love that I can control my lamp by my bedside with my phone, since the switch would require me to get out of bed (lazy I know) however, sometimes the lamp randomly turns on by itself and I have no clue why. My biggest issue ever since my iPhone has updated to the newest software, the app crashes every time I try to open it. Is there a fix coming soon Bc I really need this app to work again with my lightbulb.
  • Worked great for years

    I bought two bulbs many years ago. Power outages caused problems and there were occasional glitches where one of the two bulbs would stay on but I was always able to resolve the problem. I have never had to replace the bulbs even though they are set for approximately 6 hours per day. Then last week Hurricane Zeta came through and power was out for two days. The bulbs came ob but did not go off. When I tried to open the app it wouldn’t open. It just opens briefly for a second and then closes. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same thing happened. Tried to chat with customer service but after I typed my question it said no one was available so now I’m waiting for an email. Based on the other reviews I don’t hold out much hope for a resolution so I’ll be researching other bulbs. I actually wanted to buy more but never could find them again. I’m glad I didn’t.
  • This app that app...all garbage

    First Feit app can’t connect a light. A single light... Heaven help me if I invested in something whole home. Yikes. Thank goodness I didn’t! Company recommendation to move to this app from deprecated version. App doesn’t load on iOS 14. All trash. Other “off” brand lights and apps. Seamless. iOS 14. They should probably get in the business of scented semi smart candles. Would probably smell better than this crap. Frustrated.
  • Glitchy and can’t add groups

    App gets worse with time. Bulbs no longer respond. Schedules off. Can delete and readd app, bulbs, groups, schedules and it is a mess. Takes forever and now can’t find “mesh” or 5 of my 7 bulbs. Waste of money.

    I called customer support and spent 2 hours on hold and was finally told i would be sent new bulbs. They never came.

    Sham. Don’t get these!!!!

    With a category of “groups” you would think you could add one — but you can’t. It is just all or go over to bulbs and turn them on/off one at a time. Scheduling is one by one so I have to set up 10 schedules to cover lights coming on each night. And when time changes or you want to change them it gets glitchy. Some changes take, others do not. Taking a bulb off schedule does not help. Best is to delete the schedule and start from scratch. And do this several times a year. Also the dim is manual. You cannot preset a bulb or schedule it with a dim function on. What a drag.
  • Update app for newer iPhones newer the iPhone 6

    PleaseI have several of these home bright bulbs and they only work on iPhones six and older please update this app for a newer iPhones 7 and up. These bulbs are sold at hone depot and I’m sure there are many many people having this problem with the app. People get new iPhones every two years you need to update this app to keep people buying your bulbs you would think someone there thought I’d this already. Last comment on here is over a year ago and no updates yet please do the right thing for us people
  • WORST PRODUCT EVER

    My first problem arose when I couldn’t get any of the products to connect to Wi-Fi not only did it do they not connect to Wi-Fi there is no option to connect through Bluetooth and there is no option to connect through any other means which leave the disappointing truth that none of these products work I bought three bulbs not one has connected I’m extremely disappointed. I troubleshoot it for hours looked up the company online to see what the problem is was told that I needed to download a new app so I did and the app crashed every time you opened it so no possible way to ever connect these products to Wi-Fi. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN
