With one minor tweak, I'll rate 5-stars
Firstly, the developers of this app are terrific. The gameplay is challenging and keeps players engaged. It's self-evident how much thought was employed during the development stage. I would make one suggestion: Enhance the personal records section by distributing records based upon the number of words in the puzzle. For example, display the top-5 best times for puzzles containing 25 words or less, 26-34 words, and 35+ words. Users would then be empowered to track their top-5 times for each of the stratified categories.Show lessThe Davinator
Best Word Search
I have done a lot of word search apps & this one is one of the best ones available. No matter what device I am using when I go looking for word search puzzles this one(or ones like it) are what I search for first. Don’t hesitate - download it so you can begin to enjoy this game. Like the books
This app has a time counter that tracks how much time you spend on each puzzle (it doesn’t count down, just up). It also has all of the word you’re searching for at the bottom of the screen, you can swipe to the left or right to see more of the list. Great puzzle app
Nice variety of words, long and short, common and obscure. The ads are not too intrusive. I’ll probably buy the ad-free version at some point, but it would be interesting to know if there are additional changes between the free and paid version. I didn’t see where that is mentioned.gregor-sans
Learn much, but if you play a lot, many repetitions
I generally like this app a great deal and have been playing a lot lately. I’m a copy editor and look up the words I don’t know, which is fun! There is a lot of “ante, agha, etc., which can get frustrating. Also, I found the word “anyway” written as “anyways,” the way many people say it these days, and it made me sad. 😐Show lessHonorstrange
Back to good again.
The -devious update prevented ad removal restore and you were stuck with ads whether you paid or not. The developer fixed this quickly and now ad removal works again.
Good game. Some words are a bit odd and might not be words, but it is still just finding them from a list. Compared to other word searches, this issue still makes it the best word search app out there.Show lessMark.......

I enjoy this app at least twice a day. It’s one of the first things I do in the morning and the last thing before going to bed. It’s brain food because it increases your vocabulary and brain exercise because you work to beat your previous score. Very enjoyable!!Lewtie11
Enjoyable but repetitive
I’ve been playing for a while and overall this is my favorite word search app. It’s challenging, I like the big word list, easy to navigate- but my one huge pet peeve is the words are VERY repetitive. It would be awesome to have themed puzzles but it’s always the same words- Aga, ache, disc, ism, etc it gets boring having the “same” sort of words back to back to back with little variation.Show lessMandie143
A Great Way to Pass the Time
I love word search puzzles. I’ve been doing them my whole life. I recently switched over from a Samsung to an iPhone. My Samsung had a great word search app. I was able to control how big, and therefore how many words, my puzzle was. I could change colors including back lighting. I’ve search, for many hours, to find a word search app I like as much. I don’t want themes or other puzzles included. I need something more than just 10-15 words. I finally ended with this app. Even though I think it gives you too many words at a time and it can be hard to distinguish letters and words, because there are so many, I still chose this app. I’d rather have too many words than the puzzle being too easy. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.Show less79GENNIE
Okay, but needs improvements.
Users should be able to highlight words backwards. This has been mentioned by many other reviewers and I too would like to see this feature. I do wish the words were grouped into categories instead being of completely random. Otherwise this is a fun game. The ads are far less than other games and that’s what keeps me playing. No “tokens” or “coins” needed to play the next puzzle. It just has a short ad every few puzzles and then lets you move on.Show lessKatemein
