Interesting .....
However, I have really never done the find a word type puzzle. I did true crossword. Maybe because of that history, do I find it extreme aggravating that the words I am searching for cannot be reviewed like a crossword puzzle....placed so that I can quickly refer to them rather than at the dang bottom of the page, and then must continually move them back and forth to see each...can you fix that......Show lessdigitalgrl2
Great game!
It’s so easy to play and looks nicer than the written version. The colours are pleasant and it’s easy to read. The only problem I’ve come across is sometimes you have to run your finger several times over the word before it highlights and that cuts into your score, but hey, you are only playing against yourself so it’s no big problem. If you had competition like duels that would be an issue. Good game and good time waster!Show lessjeni569
Great game, with a few wrinkles
I play this game a lot.
Features I like:
- It's free. Ads don't pop up or get in the way of play.
-The word list is at the bottom, easy to ignore.
-The word grid is large, comfortable to scan, and font can be modified in settings.
Features I don't like:
-Each grid is timed but there's no way to pause if, ya know, the dog wants out.
-There's no levels of difficulty.
Features I don't mind but some users will:
-You must swipe a word first to last; last to first doesn't find the word. When I figured this out (arggg) I allowed that it's more challenging.
-No music.
-Some words are iffy English.
-Most longer words have prefixes & suffixes. It makes scanning for long words a bit easier.
Overall, I like this better than other WS apps. Straightforward, no cuteness.Show lessdecision_time
Pretty good but...
This is a good time killing game. Very good while on airplanes and such but there are a few things I'd want changed:
1. The "best times" are faulty in that they give overall times regardless of the word count. So the lower the word count to find, the higher your score will be. It'd be nice if the best recorded times were sorted by how many words you had to find to begin with
2. I'd also like to know how palindromes are treated. Does it matter which way you highlight to select the word?Show lessThirty two chins
Almost perfect
I love the format and challenge, but two things bother me. I wish you could find words backward as well. Example being if I’m supposed to find “fire” I wish I could swipe from the e to the f, sometimes that would honestly shave off a couple seconds. Speaking of which the other feature I don’t care for is the timer. I wish it wasn’t right at the top of the screen. If each round needs to be timed so be it but just show someone at the end. Having a timer going stresses me out haha. I wish I could just turn it off all together. I just want to search for words I don’t need to best any amount of time.Show lessHerro15
Game is fun, but...
I have fun playing this game and I would have given 5 stars if a couple of changes could be made. If you could shade the words going backwards or forward it would save a lot of time, sometimes your brain only sees it one way and you waste time looking for them. Also it takes running your finger over the words 2 or 3 times just to get them to shade, if you fix those couple of items I would give it 5 stars. Also a clue to the new people, try to find all the smallest words first, it’s easier that way.
Update: the game is still fun but it got so easy for me I switched to playing it in German to challenge my “high school” foreign language skills. I will give it 5 stars now because I can change languages and be challenged again!Show lessdralee63
Good game.
It’s nicely setup and shows you your best time on short scoreboard, which I think is a huge plus. As the puzzles progress, more words are included that I’ve never heard of, so I don’t get to ‘spot’ words out that I know (which is half the fun for me) without looking at the list. I haven’t played it throughout, but because I like the setup, I’d like to see either: different level choices or maintain recognizable words throughout the puzzles.
Update: More words increase to unrecognizable. I wanted more of the level I enjoy playing instead of of levels getting ridiculous. Also should leave some unnecessary physiological reference words out.Show lesspinkbrick
Great Game
I’m really enjoying this app! I have nothing negative to say about it. That being said, I DO wish there was a way to pause the game, because if someone walks in and interrupts, your trying to beat your time is shot! Very good word search game
I family found a game that I like in word search. On the iPad the game is good and that it’s not too easy and I’m glad that it could be harder but it’s better than most, not super easy and relaxing for me. I would love to for it to be a little bit more challenging but that being said the only thing I can say is I wish they would put a title on the top of the page. Very good and well designed
I like to play this game and I rated five stars. The only thing to improve is that the player can find every word backwards too. That would be perfect. What I mean is: I need to find the word “water” but this game only let me shade the word from w to r. Better would be if I can start from r and finish and w. Because my brain knows that the word “retaw” is the word that i am looking for and I don’t loose time try for the beginning. Just however I find it just shadow it and then will mark down I color.
