Enjoyable and frustrating
I am someone who enjoys word puzzles and have all my life. Word searches and crosswords are particular favorites. This word search has been both frustrating and enjoyable. The latter I’ve already explained and the former is so on two scores. First I wish the game would be changed so we, the players could swipe a word backwards as well as forward...this wastes valuable time if you happen initially spot a word in the reverse. Second having the game being timed is frustrating because this places one in a pressured situation. The player is engaged in a competition whether he/she likes it or not. In addition the placement of the timer is located such that one’s eyes cannot avoid seeing it which makes the pressure ’front and center.’ I know I’m not alone in these two complaints...several others have stated their wish to see the same problems remedied.Show lessLadybirdsong
A game for pleasure turned into agony😫
I’ve been doing crossword puzzles for ages. I was really hooked on it for quite some time. Then I stopped for awhile. Since the pandemic I’ve had the need to look for some entertainment, so I got back to it.
But it seems things have changed, especially for this one. Each crossword puzzle has so many words to find that they seem endless. You can only see about 12-14 words and it’s not until you’re done with one word that you can see the next one. They keep coming one by one and it seems it’ll never end. To top it of, it times you. Why? After the first two puzzles I ended with a crushing headache. Games are supposed to be competitive, but full of fun too. Timing the game and with an avalanche of words just killed it.
I want to have some fun, kill some time of boredom, I want to get hooked, not get sick. I don’t want my playing time measured, nor stressed up. I want it to be a pleasure experience. I want a game I can’t wait to get back to it whenever I want and enjoy every bit of it.Show lessMld2416
Great fun!
Love this app with very limited ads! The only 2 things I would change (and they are picayune): allow no color the same next to each other and not over top of 2words overlapping each other; AND allow scrolling forward or backwards over a word. Even if these aren’t possible, I will continue to play this app as it is challenging and a good brain workout!Show lessfan5549
Needs more settings
I would really love to be able to turn the timer off. I use this to relax but having a timer run makes me competitive and that does not help me reduce stress. I would also love to choose a color theme for the highlights. I think overall, people love to personalize things. Word Search
So still sporting a headache, I get up and go to work and find out work is off for today except I have to stay to get paid. So I whip out my phone to play word search at 8:00a. Next thing I know it’s 4:30p, time to go home. I absolutely love this game!!! I learn so many new words and love it! I play all the time. Add new puzzles before I run out. Brain Exercise
If you don’t use it, you lose it! When I retired I noticed my brain functions started getting slower. I mentioned it to the doctor and he suggested I try a word search or cross word puzzle. This has helped tremendously. Once you get the theme of the puzzle you can get a little speed. Best word search around!!JunebugShow lessVirus2020!!$$
Challenging
I enjoy finding the really long words, and the challenge of going against the clock. I haven’t found a pause button, but would like to be able to pause the game whenever a distraction comes up while I’m playing. There may be a way to pause it, but I haven’t found it.Doc1769
KEEPS ME SANE DURING COVID19
I found this game during the sequestration during COVID19. This game has kept me focused and helped me to keep my mind off the realization of what’s going on in the world. Each game provides new words and more difficult words to find. Some words I had to look up in the dictionary. The only thing I wish is if some games were themed so the words related to each theme.Show lessLdrselby
Best Word Search App
I don’t see a recent update but for some reason there is awful distracting music on this app . It just recently started and no way to turn it off. I have to just turn down the volume on my phone.
What has caused this? It has never had music before and this isn’t easy soothing music. This grates on ones nerves. Don’t understand why the music has started on this app.Show lessJillxz
One of the BEST FREE games out there
I got this to help me get through quarantine and to help keep my mind working. The games are challenging enough for sure. The only thing I would like to see is that the words we are searching for would be present all of the time. The timing of each game is also a bit challenging but challenging is good during the Covid19 days.
