Poor connectivity
The app works fine, but the hardware doesn’t broadcast very well and devices don’t access point hop very well. I bought a meshing system thinking this would be a convenient and high quality way to get great WiFi coverage but have found this to be quite clunky. Devices prioritize the main AP especially with wireless backhaul. I even went to the trouble to run wired gigabit lines to each AP and still devices will be right next to an AP but still locked onto a poor signal from another AP. Some devices flat out do not like the network and offer bump on and off. It has nothing to do with the wireless frequency as I know these devices had no issues with my older Apple AirPort Extreme which by the way provides better WiFi coverage than a single ASUS AP. Totally unimpressed with this meshing system for the cost. Not sure why others like this.
