I absolutely love Utiful. Being able to organize my photos & videos as I would on any computer. I love being able to make folders within folders. Makes finding files much easier & faster than the photos app that comes with the phone. I only wish that Utiful added a way to edit photos & videos from the app. As it stands if I have to do the simplest of actions like cropping, I have to export to phone, edit, then import back to Utiful. With the ability to edit, this would be a 5 star app.

You can edit photos already now in Utiful: Just open a photo and tap the Edit button in the upper right corner of the screen, then choose either "Rotate, Crop, ..." or "Markup". If you need further photo editing features or also video editing, please get in touch with us anytime via the Feedback option in the app's settings -- we would be more than glad to add these featuers for you in one of the next app versions! . The app misrepresents what it actually does in 2 ways. It advertises that it allows you to move photos out of the iPhone camera roll and allow you to organize them so that you know which photos have been sorted and which not. What they don’t tell you is that you are moving them not out of the camera roll but out of the native iPhone app ENTIRELY and into a whole new database . The reality is that it just creates and entirely separate database for you to organize these photos which you are then supposed to DELETE what’s in your camera roll. I could have overlooked this misrepresentation except for tue fact that anytime I am using any sort of function where I need to retrieve photos from somewhere,I can no longer do so because there isn’t a way to directly pull from this other database which means you have to go to the app, take out the photos and then put them back into your camera roll. Which completely defeats the entire purposes . The app literature is not transparent about the fact that very few apps are set up to work together with this app to be able to pull photos directly from it without having to do a bunch of extra work. I found a list of apps that work with it and none of them apply to me. This is not what I paid for and am respectfully requesting to berefundedShow lessAmadariaga

You are totally right about how our app operates and please accept our excuses if you felt any part of the app presentation misleading. This is of course not out intention and we will review the app presentation asap to check for potential misinterpretation. As for being able to access the app from other apps. As you probably found out, there is a list in our User's Manual of how you can access the app from other apps. If you are using other apps, please do contact us at support@utifulapp.com to let us know which, and we will review them and the access to our app asap. In fact, our app is totally open for access from other apps, however still many apps do not consider that there can be more than one source of photos on the device and only allow to access photos from the camera roll, which is pity indeed. As soon as you contact us as mentioned above, we will also gladly inform you about the refund process, if this is what you'd like. The Utiful Support TeamBest app ever!
I love that I can keep all of my photos organized in separate folders. When moving photos, the app gives you the option to delete them from iPhone camera roll which is great. Maybe I’m OCD but there is something annoying about iPhone photo storage and having to have the one big messy camera roll in addition to folders you might create. This app totally solves that problem and keeps photos tidy and organized. I recommend this app to everyone and it’s one of the most useful apps I’ve ever purchased. Highly recommend!Show lessUrbanmum

Indispensable! Photo Manager Magnificence.
I had been DESPERATE for a solution to my insane (5000+) pictures on my devices. I’m a professional handyman & take tons of client-related work images. But I’m a photographer & person, too! lol I simply couldn’t manage the god-forsaken Camera Roll, which — for whatever reason — can categorize, but won’t remove images from the internal timeline. Enter Utiful. <roaring applause!> I use this app nearly Every. Single. Day!! And it keeps improving with every update. It’s NOT “perfect” (yet), and yes, it’s a bit pricey. BUTBUTBUT!!! It’s stable & reliable and the ONLY intelligent photo manager I’ve tried (omg...and I’ve tried a TON of them) that works intuitively and like iPhoto SHOULD. I still have ALL. of my photos, but now, instead of shots of my ceiling fan install intermixed with shots of my dog, I can not only CATEGORIZE/& SUB-CATEGORIZE photos, but also REMOVE them entirely from the Camera Roll. I loved this app at first, i pay for subscription but sadly when I tried to order photos to be printed or photo books to be printed from ANY of the well known photo printing apps UNTIFUL never shows up in the list of options of where to pull the photos from, I've tried everything i can to add it to the list of folders to view photos from but it will not recognize this app which makes this app useless and also my photos inaccessible and ALSO they were deleted from my camera roll upon loading them to this app so now my daughter's birthday pictures have to just sit in this app and I can't order any of these pictures to be printed, anyone know a fix to yhis PLEASE HELP!Show lessDezzalini37

Dear Dezzalini37, thank you for your 1-star rating and for reporting this issue. Most of the photo book services have access only to the camera roll indeed. You can however easily export photo folders from Utiful to the Photos app, and they will become visible for any photo book service. To do so, tap "Select" on the Folders screen in Utiful, select the folders you want to export to the Photos app, then tap Export > Export to Photos app. The folders will be exported as albums in the Photos app. After you are finished with the photo book order, you can remove again the exported albums from the Photos app (together with the exported photos), so that they are not kept double - in Utiful and in the Photos app. You can do this also straight from Utiful via the Add Photos screen: Tap "Add Photos", then tap on "Tap here for options", then select the exported album, then tap again "Tap here for options" and choose "Delete album". Love the idea behind this app and it’s great when it works. However, I’ve been on an organizing kick for a couple of days and today, all I get are error messages. It’s frustrating, since I checked my internet connection and it’s working fine. I can sometimes move one photo, but for the most part, I can’t do anything on this app.Show lessCrystal0615

Not super satisfied
I really enjoy the idea of being able to take my pictures and separate them in a different categories and even sub categories I’m an artist and I work on a lot of different projects and a lot of times I have photos of different ideas or different works in the making and I would love to be able to have categories and subcategories and I thought the emoji was super cute and stuff but I quickly learned after getting the app that you can actually only have one folder unless you want to pay for premium which I am not willing to pay for also I couldn’t figure out how to do subfolders I don’t even know if it can I tried for a long time but yeah definitely the right idea but expecting way too much by giving you one folder and then wanted you to pay moneyShow lesszoeyim 12

Dear zoeyim 12, thank you for your 1-star rating and for your feedback! You can create subfolders as follows: Tap Organize on the Folders screen, then tap New Group. You can move existing folders into the group, create subfolders in it and also subgroups, so you can have a hierarchy as deep as needed. Regarding payment: The app offers you a one-month free trial. You can accept it and will be able to use the app for one whole month without having to pay anything, so you can decide whether the app is what you need or not. If you don't like the app, you can cancel your free trial anytime from the iOS Settings app > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Utiful. If you cancel the free trial, you can still use the full functionality of the app until the one-month free trial period expires. Update: I’ve received wonderful feedback and support from management of the app and am quite happy with the app. Who knows what I did or why it happened but I am impressed with the fast response and follow up to ensure everything works! 🥰
I am devastated. I spent three + hours yesterday uploading purchased graphics from my iMac to my iPad Pro to Utiful. I organized all my folders and synched all my idevices. I verified that everything was where it was supposed to be. Today I looked for some of the new graphics and all the work I did yesterday has disappeared. All I have are empty folders. I am new to this app and have found it easy to use and was so hopeful that this would be a dream come true to organizing my thousands of graphics I use for fun creations. 😰🥺Show lessScoobsmom
