Awesome
It’s a great game, it can be expensive at times but you can get through the game without spending any money too. Have played it for 6 months and love it
Fun
This game is really fun and addicting, I think you should try it out. Some things you need to know before playing, the game is primarily run by three players: Kyn, Death Dealer and Pipe Layer. Nothing happens in the game without them knowing about it. I would recommend you find some friends IRL or some people you've met outside the game because it can be nearly impossible to find someone in the game you can fully trust. The three players I mentioned are wealthy and have multiple keeps in a lot of different kingdoms, some you don't even know it's them until you do. Kyn and Pipe are good players who are just grumpy sometimes because of how long they've played, but Death Dealer is another story. Some people call Death Dealer the "Baba Yaga", he's the type of player who hasn't touched grass in 7 years and gives everyone a headache, but he's one of the shot callers behind the curtain. This game can also be very expensive, so make sure this is something you want to play for a long time and are willing to spend at least $35k in total if you’re wanting to play competitively in the long run.

Pay to play
Don’t get me wrong. I have fun playing this game. I’m still playing it now. I’ve just come to realize that by the time you get to the rank that everybody is when a PVP event comes around the winners always going to be a play player. It’s hard. The game is fun and very enjoyable, they give you free things in the beginning give you enough food to upgrade everything they give you the option to get stuff upgraded for free but eventually you hit a point where you’re gonna need like 10 million of everything to level up your keep at that point you can’t even compete with the players that are level 26 by week two because they pay for everything the honest truth about this game is have fun but the only way you’re going to be able to do it is by paying to play the people that call you baby and tell you to stop whining when you voice that in chat you can have fun by not paying and be behind everyone else and make no progress capture no seats or you can pay money to advance and at some point you’re going to have to it’s just a hard truth if you wanna play and enjoy the game you’re going to just have to pay and even when you do pay you just have to keep paying more and more to the point where you’re 5000 dollars in and you haven’t even reached level 20 I don’t know I’m not saying that the game is bad. I’m just saying it’s a money pit.

Stay far, far, far away.
Update- wrote original review a couple of years ago. There used to be a way to work the events so even strict f2p, you could be patient, run completely counter to most clans’ clueless big spenders’ idea of f2p advice and work the events and still build an account strong enough to have fun for about a year with. Whether it’s due to just the sheer volume of new gear sets every month and repeat players literally dropping $100k or so in the first months to max early, or if the game devs messed with the probabilities under the hood, it’s no longer possible. You can get a middling account at best and somewhat keep pace, but it’s hard to participate in pvp gameplay that way even if you know what you’re doing. You can have fun without spending a fortune only for about a month or until the first recap month, and then it’s toast when people in your first merge kingdom catch the stats of people in 7 year old kingdoms. It’s ridiculous. Old review- still valid: Not only is this game an utterly shameless money grab that makes no effort whatsoever to correct for major imbalances, WB Games recently allowed their own personal transactional system mistake to be massively exploited, then did absolutely nothing to correct for the resulting major imbalances in events and gameplay, completely screwing people who behaved normally. This app does not deserve your time or money, which it will try to get both of in copious quantities.

Love this game, every update it gets better
Absolutely loving this game, although haven’t reached the dreaded keep level where it’s talked at at pay to win from there on (update once reached, K19 rn) love the update with more customisation items, do wish there were more options for the dragon besides repel and fire breath, but it’s very great where it is.
Future update ideas:
* once a player has reached maximum level with their first dragon can hatch a new egg, and same with that for a maximum total of 3 dragons, will keep the game interesting for older players and will make us feel like Aegon the Conquered or Danaerys
* Ability to customise the back spines, so like instead of the general webbed back, can have spikes or other features, making the dragon feel more like our own
* ability to change fire breath colour so it matches the books :)
Overall love this game, it’s great, almost always something to do, but doesn’t require too much time if you don’t want to commit to a game, it’s awesome and thankyou devs.

Could have been fun
That’s good of been a great game and it was very clever, however, the pay to win just completely ruined it and it really is just a way to try and sucker money out of you. You have a bunch of people who have spent hundreds of dollars on the game or is some conspiracy theorists would say the business itself, actually supports them directly to create a desire to defeat the big bully on the board. This causes other players to try spend money to try keep up, even though they will fail regardless, and Warner Bros., just walks away with even more dollars in the bank. Don’t give them your money..

Best to avoid game
Massive fan of GOT & so was eager to try this game out. Started out fun & was fine with investing abit of money, lots of time & work sorting out my keep etc. It does easily get very addictive, like most games & soon became a slippery slope. Bullying by other players is a prominent & inevitable consequence as, unless you are a popular player or simp amongst the main vile rabble, you will not last long & all your hours of work & most likely hundreds of pounds/dollars will mean nothing. The gleeful & nasty mob like bullying within that game towards myself & other separate players was quite gross. Unless you have lots of actual friends there & lots of money to waste then don’t even try. Lots of sleaze allowed within the public chat function in the app by obvious desperate & unhinged middle aged players, both men & women, which was uncomfortable when you also saw lots of really young players join looking & asking for help in how to play. Best day was when I logged off for good. It’s bad for your well being, precious time & almost certainly no good for your bank balance. Only wish I could get my money back but it did teach me early a valuable lesson to heavily avoid apps & games like these in future, no matter how much you are a fan of the franchise. Please don’t make my mistake & run now!

Westoro’s
Game of Thrones Conquest is definitely a fun and addictive game. In all kingdoms there are the friendlies and the assertive and the bullies. High ranking to low there are variables in play, how much is expected in/from your allegience, and whether you are targeted or not. I’ve been lucky , in the three realms I play each has some excellent friends and Allie’s, one more bullies than the other two but lots of folks to help you succeed. I suggest an Allegiance that nurtures their players, and to form a routine with a budget. Many are free to play but not having a shield is another skill set, it can be done but requires paying attention and making yourself the least vulnerable that you can. Can farm soldiers to other players but hard to use those soldiers when they are more than a few leagues away with a teammate. I’ve been here more than three years, since the Red Temple it’s been more enjoyable because you don’t loose ALL your power and troops with one hit. I personally don’t attack other keeps unless they go after my seat of power or a teammate. But that IS part of the game. 👸🏼Good Luck

Balance
Honestly been playing the game for awhile. I have been through the time that we as players boycotted developers and no one bought anything for a week. I been there when dragons and titles changed the game. Even with ehancements and even now the HCA. Look to be honest any new player will have it rough unless they buy someone keep but that’s illegal yet it still happens. WB or the developers don’t care they have allowed Alt account abuse for over 3 years now. At this stage of the game the game isn’t balanced unless you start fresh and don’t spend and I mean no one spend. It will take you 1 full year to get t8 being a f2p and even much more for higher tier troops. The game isn’t balanced anymore and the abuse of everything makes it not fun. Illegal selling of keeps and using bluestacks to spy in other alliances because you can’t kick someone from the keep if they have the account on bluestacks. The game can be fun with teammates and have moments but now the game honestly needs a shake up maybe a hard reset. I wish I had an answer because I feel for newer players who can’t catch up to the others experience or wealth in game.

Be Extremely Careful!!
Yes this is an addictive game, it has many engagement opportunities, both in terms of gameplay and socially and starts off being very enjoyable to play.
The clear issue is that Warner Brothers have no social conscience and deliberately construct the game to lure players into spending big. In fact you will probably find that within a year of playing you are questioning how you came to be spending so much on the game, for most, much more than is comfortable.
This has the same feel as a gambling app. Most people stop playing within that 12-18 month timeframe, not because they want to, because they simply cannot keep up without spending a fortune. Warner Brothers don’t care so long as a core % of players go on to spend tens of thousands of $$$ each year.
Be very careful before getting sucked in!
