Amazing app, great for sorting colors when colorblind

I got a giant bucket of perler beads to sort, but unbeknownst to me, I couldn’t really see the difference between a lot of the colors.

But with the help of this app, and the various tools (especially the shift), I can find the difference between them. Now, I can sort the colors with ease.

Thank you.

Meh

The other ones seem fine to me but as someone with tritanopia I can tell the colours on there are too vibrant but I'm not really sure if I'm blue blind or blue weak so just proceed with caution if your downloading this

Color Blind Pal Review

Loved previous versions helped me a lot with tiny wires and items hard to see. Now with new iPhone the app doesn’t make use of macro camera so it’s VERY hard to use this app now. Would greatly appreciate an update that can use the close up camera too!!!
Thank you

Marvellous idea but spoilt by magnifier over split screen icon

I’m colourblind and was really looking forward to using this app. Unfortunately, on my iPad with the latest update the tutorial freezes at the point it asks me to tap on the magnifier because the magnifier is directly under the split screen icon in both landscape and portrait orientation. This means every time I try to click on the magnifier the result is a split screen and tapping again simply results in returning to full screen. Therefore, I am unable to complete the tutorial so have limited understanding of how to use this app. I am so disappointed.

Doesn’t work for red deficiency

Doesn’t work. source: I’m color blind

Exactly what I needed

There is absolutely nothing complicated about this app, and that is a good thing. Most apps like it I’ve tried are filled with unnecessary fluff. For anyone who has any type of color blindness: get this app. It is a life savior for people like us.

Great app - not perfect yet

I hate to throw around a phrase like “life changing” but I’m tempted. Color Blind Pal is a pal indeed, helping me make the least of my deuteranopia. But I really wish it would do just a couple more things. 1) Front facing camera (so I can use it to help with my makeup and outfits); 2) Remember my settings, because it’s super annoying to have to switch modes and adjust the hue range every single time I open it. I thank the developers for this great app, and hope they keep on developing it!

Awesome app. One addition would be great!

Thank you Vincent for creating this app. I just downloaded, went through the tutorial (perfect, straightforward). The whole app is impressive and well thought out. One thing i thought of to enhance the app and truly make it work for us… how about adding a customization function that utilizes the Ishihara test or something similar, and then let us customize the settings so that it’s close to perfect for that one user? Make sure you copyright it too and maybe OS companies will pay you to use it as part of the accessibility option.

Incredibly Useful

I was struggling wiring some Ethernet cables at home, as I couldn't differentiate the red and green pairs. This app has really helped me find the difference, primarily through the filter feature. The tutorial was also really useful whilst staying pleasantly brief.

Great start

Let’s start by admitting, there are not a lot of apps that cater toward helping those who are colorblind. This app is a great start and could evolve into something better. I’ve personally found it helpful on a multitude of situations! When you can’t tell green from brown it doesn’t matter the exact color shade. I’ve seen a lot of comments, “that lite pink, magenta, peach, lavender, etc. doesn’t accurately reflect.” Those don’t matter to me. I need to know if it’s green or brown, blue or purple, red or brown, orange or red, pink or grey, etc. No need for extra shades and descriptions - let’s just hit the primary colors. This app has helped me with that! Thank you!
