Stupid app had me going out not matching at all…. I could’ve guessed better than what it said
Pretty inaccurate
My friend is colorblind and I downloaded this app to test it out before recommending it.
It could not identify any light/baby pinks correctly and instead labeled them “faint orange” and “maroon”. I tried on several pink items and the only one it identified as “pink” was a very bright, hot pink.
It even identified an eggshell white as “faint orange”. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who actually needs it to be accurate.

Does the job
Works better than my eyes so all I can ask for
Best app ever
That was an app I dreamed about a long time ago
Tritanopia is way off
Cool idea, but it only works for deutan and protans. The tritanopia stuff is all way off
Robert
That app is worthless. It says navy is dull brown, purple is dull grey and brown is dull grey.
Not much help
I’m red/green colour blind and this app appears to variable to be much use. Eg. I have trousers that are definitely not orange but it thinks they are!
I’m willing to try using for longer and see if it proves useful. If it does I will revise my feedback.

Life Altering
Thank you so much to whoever made this app. It is immensely helpful. I’ve used it to help me teach my non-colorblind son colors, to avoid leaving the house in terrible outfits, and so many other situations where clarification of color is useful.
The accuracy depends on the lighting situation, but you can often work out when it’s inaccurate based on intuition (unless you have truly monochromatic vision). That said, I am really surprised by how accurate it is in most settings.
It also has a feature that is very helpful in conveying your condition to others. Obviously vision is a complicated process and there’s no way for them to see exactly what they see. But, the simulator does give them a better idea of how your condition works and why you are so often mislabeling colors.

Fantastic app
I was building a Lego set (Winnie the Pooh house) and hit the roof tiles… could not figure out the red versus the brown tiles… I discovered the app and it helped me to sort them out. Thank you and I will use it for other situations. Really recommended.
