Forced subscription for health sync

So now it appears you have to pay a subscription fee if you want to sync to Apple Health.

Response from developer

Dear Seanus, please contact us at support@medm.com to receive a special offer for our loyal users. We understand the pain caused by the introduction of a paywall, but we feel that this is the most transparent way of financing this development, and the only way to keep the apps running and improving. MedM is not sponsored by hardware manufacturers and has to rely on the support of our users for survival.

This is my first use.

I was disappointed to see I couldn’t indicate whether the blood pressure reading was being taken on my left arm or my right arm, those readings are always different. Also, what if I had a particularly salty lunch that day Or I had exercised late before, it would be nice to be able to indicate that in a note. Otherwise it works well.

Thanks for an otherwise great app.

Hi, Thank you for the feedback! The app allows to add a measurement note and to specify a measured arm tag in the measurement details. Open app history -> select a measurement -> click the "pencil" icon in the topr right corner of the screen to edit measurement details -> add a measurement note and specify a measured arm tag -> click Save. Best regards, MedM Team

User manual

Hi, I just got an Ocxiline x pro bp monitor and downloaded the app. The app seems fine, but I have a bit of trouble to reliably record my measurements. Is there some kind of user guide. I am on iOS. If I could understand better how to work it, I’ll be happy to upgrade the stars. Thanks.

Response from developer

Hi, Thank you for review! The guide is here https://www.medm.com/sensors/Oxiline/pressure-x-pro-mobile-app.html. If you have any questions, please contact us at Support@medm.com and we'll be happy to answer. Best regrads, MedM Team

dump the Omron app

after years of frustration with Omron app I stumbled upon this app and I am amazed at the simplicity and ease of use of it… would like to see the ability to display monthly and weekly bp averages in a chart… thanks for a bp monitor app that doesn’t contribute to hypertension

Response from developer

Hi, Thank you vey valuable feedback! The task to mprove BP charts and calculate average value has high priority now. Please note, that the higer app rating would greatly inspire us to do it. Best regards, MedM Team

Requires money to sync with Apple Health

Bought a blood pressure monitor on the promise of being able to sync with Apple Health, discovered a bait and switch requiring subscription for this functionality. Will be returning the blood pressure monitor.

We appreciate your feedback, understand your concern, and would like to use this opportunity to share our story. MedM is an independent software developer, not sponsored by the makers of health monitoring devices. For almost a decade we have developed and maintained our apps for free. However, continued investments are needed to keep user data protected, support more hardware, add new measurement types and features, improve user experience, stay ahead of the operating platform updates, and offer support. To maintain the user-centric approach and to stay an independent software developer, we must rely on the financial support of our users. The basic features of MedM apps will remain free and accessible to all, while our existing registered users receive a 3-month Premium subscription for free, and a special offer for purchasing a yearly Premium subscription at 1/3 of the price. Response from developer

For a registered user, his data is securely stored in MedM Cloud and it cannot be lost unless the user deletes it himself. For a local user we strongly recommend to periodlically backup the iPhone data https://www.medm.com/faq.html#i-use-app-in-offline-mode-how-can-i-restore-my-lost-data--how-can-i-transfer-my-data-to-a-new-smartphone. iPad app doesn’t sync to Apple Health

Not sure why, but doesn’t sync to Apple Health when installed on an iPad. Works great on iPhone.

Response from developer

iPad supports Apple Health only since iPadOS 17 https://techcrunch.com/2023/06/05/apple-is-bringing-its-health-app-to-the-ipad/. Moreover even if the iPadOS 17 does support Apple Health, the Apple Health API is still not available their to communicate with other apps. We have checked this with the Zepp Life and Withings apps with iPad Air 5 Gen iPad OS 17. So we hope that you'll update your 3-star review since the feature you are talking about is technically can be realized currently. Moreover the MedM app is developed so that once the Apple Health API gets available on iPad OS, the app immidiately recognize it and Apple Health will appear in the Data Sync item. Best regards, MedM Team

A suggestion

On the readings list pages, add the day of the week. As in Monday, August 21, 2023 instead of just August 21, 2023. Btw, the iPad can be used in landscape mode but the app does transition to landscape mode. Thanks.

Added after response… Thank you

Response from developer

Thank you for sharing a feedback! We'll consider your suggestion to add the day of the week. Regarding the landscape mode for iPad, the task is already created and now it is in developement queue. Please stay with us and check for updates. Best regards, MedM Team
