Doesn’t work
Unable to log in or register so getting an estimate through the app is impossible.
Partial credit for HAVING an app…but it’s clunky at best
Given how much I hate talking on the phone, the fact that the company HAS an app to do all of this through is honestly a win. However, there seem to be some issues:
1. Can’t edit any of the initial details, nor can you delete an existing one if you need to start over if those details are incorrect.
2. Likewise, can’t delete videos or images, or add manual inventory if you go that route
3. Can’t upload existing video or photos - this is more of a ‘would be nice to have’ feature, but I kind of consider the first two to be pretty basic tablestakes.

Poor app
Registration seems to be hit or miss, couldn’t register twice when I tried. When I did register the 3rd try it appears that you can’t delete bad video or pictures that you take. You can’t just upload existing pictures, you have to take them in the app. Then you can’t delete them. I just emailed my pics to a rep who I called which was much easier. App is very badly designed.

Funny working app
The app has buttons for “next” and “submit” which don’t seem to work, but I did receive a call from Colonial Van Lines that they had received all of the pix that I had taken...kind of a weird way to set up an app where the user doesn’t get responses from pressing the onscreen buttons...but all in all, the app does work...

Horrible
I would give them 0 stars if I could. They pushed back my pickup date multiple times which resulted in me not being able to move to NC when I was supposed to to sign my lease. I had to sign a new lease which resulted in a higher monthly payment. Colonial is the most unorganized moving company I have ever dealt with and will never use them again. I am a bank manager and have also told all of my friends, family, and clients never to use this joke of a moving company.

Changing rating
Although the move was not as expected, the response from Donna of my concerns and resolutions offered showed me that they cared and I change rate, based on their attention to my concerns to a five.
Great app for moving
I used the app for our move last year and was a great help to avoid having to schedule around someone coming to our house and throwing on a sales pitch. We had an excellent move with colonial and the guys who moved us were absolutely fantastic. Lauren at colonial was always on top of our move and checking in and working with me for our last minute updates. Highly recommend this as the new way to move.

Colonial moving
The van never showed up, the men did not speak English, and I paid $9,000 ++to get a fast move. They did it alright, and stole almost $80,000 worth of my belonging. They pick & chose what they wanted to take, all high priced merchandise.

App is not effective estimating tool
I picked Colonial in part bc of their innovation in using an app to estimate your belongings, rather than an in-person walk-through. However the estimate done by Colonial via the app captured only HALF of what our true weight ended up being. Our issues with Colonial movers have only increased from there. App will not create an accurate picture of your belongings.
