  • Lima, Peru

I told PayFinders to use my current location. I am in Texas. Unfortunately, PayFinders decided that I am in Lima, Peru and says no Apple Pay locations are available. I have not found any way to convince PayFinders of my actual location. I scrolled the map to my location and I see a bunch of stores on the map that I know do not accept Apple Pay. There is a definite need for this product but this app just doesn’t work.

  • Promising resource but awful UI

The legwork this developer has done to help identify all the places that take Apple Pay is truly remarkable.

However the app is truly an eyesore and the maps are simply not accurate to where businesses are located. Further, I've attempted to add half a dozen businesses but they never reflect as updates on the terrible map. Crashy too.

Hopefully a coding intervention is underway.

  • Inaccurate data

There's several places listed as having Apple Pay that don't, and others that do that aren't listed. Also, how is it that an app designed specifically to find places to use Apple Pay doesn't support the native resolutions of the only phones that have Apple Pay?
  • Useless app as it's rarely updated

I was initially happy to find Payfinders. Having an updated list of businesses, in your local geo, that accept Apple Pay would make for a very compelling app.

However, this app is rarely, if ever updated. I've added several venues that have never been added to the app (after 4-6 weeks). I know that said venues accept Apple Pay, because I've used it at all of them numerous times.

Furthermore, this app still isn't optimized for larger screen iPhones, although they've been on the market for nearly 18 months. And the design is very hard on the eyes and seems out of place on iPhone.

  • useful

Apple Pay is a new payment way, but where can you use this amazing way to pay, so if you download this app, it can help you discover and explore local merchants that accept Apple Pay. So helpful app is it.
  • good app

It's kind of like a map of Apple Pay, before you go to somewhere you can open this game to check which place are availble for App Pay, this is the must get app for those who loves Apple Pay.
  • Useless

The app pre-loaded sites based on corporate press releases - most of those companies have still not rolled out Apple Pay capable devices (I live in Southern California). Secondly, the app makers are apparently trying to monetize personal information - if I select the option to 'try' the app without signing in I get a Network Error - even though all other apps are successfully working. Great idea - but a total failure.

  • Not there yet

App has no way to let me indicate that stores are listed that do not in fact offer Apple Pay and when I added comments to that effect for a major grocery listed that does not offer AP and has no plans to do so, they never appeared. Also, the app's icon and the black and white line aesthetic is grating and an assault on the eyes. The icons on the map are cluttered and it's hard for me to research an area other than where I am right now. They're long on the self-congratulatory "lovingly crafted in California" stuff, but the usability and execution are quite lacking, IMO. I'll try it again some time in the future but have gladly retired that bright, harsh icon from my screen for now.

  • nice app

Pay Finders allows you discover and find local merchants that accept Apple Pay with a beautiful map. For my needs, this app is the best. It is easy to use and useful.
  • Great idea, needs to be more accurate

Great idea for an app. And quite useful, unless you expect every location listed to support Apple Pay. Home Depot does not yet, but it’s on the map. A local grocery store that has been gone for over 10 years is on the map. Reporting inaccuracies in the app doesn’t seem to have any effect. The interface isn’t bad, stands out as unique even. Full color maps can end up making them harder to read.
