Doesn’t open

You receive a notification and then when you try to open the app it either doesn’t open at all or takes 10 minutes to open. Very poor

Unreliable

Regularly needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to work. Considering the relative simplicity of the app and the high importance of it, it’s poor.

Notifications missing

No matter how often this is updated, it never seems to get notifications to show up on the app badge.

Updated version works well

Now the updates have been made the app works well, notifications alert you and the app opens as it should, a must app if your school uses Parent Hub, a fast an easy way to keep updated and easy to go back to the information rather than having the paper letters from school that go missing

Hi Dimpsnick, Thanks for your feedback. We know there were some technical issues with the roll-out of our new app over the summer, which meant the process wasn't as smooth for you as it should have been. We're sorry about this, and have updated our release management processes to ensure it doesn't happen again. I'm pleased to say the issues have since been resolved, and so you shouldn't encounter any problems with more recent versions of the app. As of today (29/11/18), the latest version is 3.2.1. I'd love to hear your feedback on the most recent version of the app, so please let us know what you think. All the best, James

This is going to make my life easier !

Great app! Once this app is taken up by other schools I have no doubt will be a life saver to other parents as it is for me. A new app so always little things to work through but I can see the amazing potential and pleased to use it so far.

Navigation Nightmare

Notifications appear... but where’s the message??
Do you look in Channels, Schools, Hub...?
Over complicated for the sake of trying to appear clever.

Response from developer

Hi Photo_genius, Thanks for your feedback. All new messages appear in The Hub section of the app, which acts like your Inbox. You can then mark messages as 'Done', which clears them from view. If you aren't seeing messages in The Hub like you'd expect, it will likely be due to one of the following reasons: - A message was sent before you started following the relevant school or channel. The Hub only starts operating like an Inbox from the point when you join a school or channel (if it displayed everything, you might find yourself inundated with older posts that are no longer relevant). You can still view older posts by tapping the Channel Name on any new posts that arrive, or by selecting My Channels from the menu options (Parent Hub logo, top left), and then tapping on the Channel you want to see. - A message has been marked as 'Done', and so has been cleared from view. You can see the posts you've marked as Done by tapping the green 'circle-with-a-tick' icon in the header bar of The Hub. - It may be that your phone had a weak internet connection when trying to download recent messages to The Hub. If that's the case, coming back to the app when you have a better signal should do the trick. Lastly, if none of the above seem to be the issue, please get in touch with us on support@parenthub.co.uk, and we'll look into it for you. All the best, James.

Irritatingly unstable

Keeps logging me out / not working. And then won’t recognise my password when trying to reconnect so have to start all over every time. An irritating app.

Buggy as hell but great when it works

I’ve been using for over a year and although mostly ok there are times where it just doesn’t work. The current version shows me push notifications on my home screen but when I open the app it hangs and I can’t see the content. Our school has really embraced the tool but they don't know that parents only see that there’s a message but not what it says
