This has been my metronome of choice for a few years now. I think it’s great!!growlin&grumblin
Annoying nagging hampers usability
All I want out of this app is a decent metronome. This app has that for free. But because I’m not paying, as I stand to gain nothing from the paid features, every time I open the app, it pops up some message begging me to subscribe for more features I don’t want. Over time, the nagging has gotten worse and worse. Now there’s a bar asking to subscribe for some new feature I still don’t care about. I hit x. It asks me to hide for today. No, I wanna hide it forever. So it says I can customize it away if I go to some menu. I tap to go to that menu. Psyche, I only get that menu if I subscribe! FOH with that bait and switch nonsense. Playing with my head is one of the worst aspects of modern mobile apps. So now I’m leaving this review, after using this app nearly 2 years, getting more and more aggravated with it each day.
Edit: Yes, devs need to eat, and I’m willing to pay, but the deepest south will freeze over before I subscribe to a metronome app whose updates don’t add any value for my only use case. You’re targeting the highest possible revenue and leaving profits on the table instead of serving the demand you actually have. One screen, one fee, no fancy bull, no updates except when needed. Hi, over time we are adding more and more value to the subscription. Most recently we added a new feature to be able to hide all ads as a paying subscribers. This feature is not available to free users. We are happy to be able to offer the app for free, but as a tradeoff at least you need to accept advertising (we even keep the metronome interface free of ads). As you would expect, our engineers and designers need to pay for food and rent - so I think it is reasonable to either pay something for their work, or accept advertising. I am sure if someone would ask you to work for free, you would be offended. Cheers,Horrible

Real value in a free app
I love this app, use it every day. It’s not perfect, but gets pretty close. Keeps track of all my practice times and lets me see my history. Also lets me alternate between instruments easily. I would gladly support it but have no need of the options that are available for upgrading. Still, highly recommend this app.
I changed my rating to 5 stars because I have used this app for more than a month and rely on it to keep track of my practice on two instruments and it serves me well. So I subscribed because I use it that much and I believe in supporting developers where appropriate.
My only gripe is that I asked a couple of questions and got crickets, but that doesn’t take away from the usefulness of the app.Show lessts057

Lost contact with the app AGAIN during a practice session and lost over an hour of practice AGAIN and it’s so frustrating. Pay 60 dollars just to add a practice session? Ridiculous.Soundbrenner Funkin Blow
