Price History of Pro Metronome

Description of Pro Metronome

Pro Metronome - The best metronome app. Period. Featured in Apple's WWDC 2014 showcase "Apps We Can't Live Without." ------------ Pro Metronome is a powerful tool that helps you master both daily practice and stage performance. It has redefined how more than 4 million people sync to a beat. At the heart of the app lies our extremely precise, studio-quality metronome which we've refined even further with 4.2. The free version is packed with features. We feature 13 different metronome tones including even a voice option. Running our newest RTP (Real-Time Playback) technology, our metronome clocks an accuracy of ±20μs. Pro Metronome is all about customization. Change beat tones, accents, and even the dynamics of your rhythm ("f", "mf", "p" and "mute"). The Pro Version unlocks even more features including subdivisions and polyrhythm settings. Create complex patterns with triplets, dotted notes and non-standard time signatures. The app supports several ways to experience beats. The free version of the app includes sound and haptics, but upgrading to Pro enables Visual, Flash, Vibrate Modes. Visual and Vibrate Modes are great when you're playing loud instruments or when you need to FEEL the beat. Flash Mode uses the device's camera flash to sync up the entire band easily. Pro Metronome doesn't just help you keep time, it also helps you train. Pro Metronome built the Rhythm Trainer which mutes a selected bar in the beat, allowing your brain to fill in the gap and thus train your innate sense of timing. It's a simple, heavily requested idea not found in any other app to date. Pro Metronome also supports a host of secondary features: background play mode and even the ability to save song/tempo playlists. It's a powerful, elegant and intuitive app - a must for the modern musician. ---------------------- Pro Metronome Basic Features: * Intuitive, ad-free interface even in the free version * Dynamic time signature settings * 13 different time-keeping styles, including a counting voice * Haptic feedback on beats * Dynamic accent settings, including f, mf, p, and mute indicators * Tap in your own BPM * Color Mode – see the beats graphically displayed on screen * Pendulum Mode, for visual feedback * Power-Saving/Background Modes – works in lock screen, home, or in another app * Extreme precision (±20μs) using RTP (Real Time Playback) technology * Timer to help you keep track of your session * Landscape Mode for increased resolution * Universal app – supported on iPhone and iPad * Split screen and multitasking on iPad * Apple Watch support Pro Features include: * Sensory aids: LED/Screen Flash Mode and vibration (only available for iPhones) * Subdivisions including triplets, dotted notes, and many more * Polyrhythms – stack two rhythm tracks on top of each other * Programmable playlists – save and load your favorite settings * Rhythm Trainer – helps to develop your steady beats * Stage Mode – the indispensable companion for performing musicians. * Practice Mode – allows you to program automatic tempo change to suit your practice regime. • This metronome single-handedly legitimizes technology on peoples phones.

I’ve been using this quite a bit while practicing my drums and guitar. Being an old-school player all I needed was a simple steady Metronome. But it wasn’t until I used it with my iPad and upped it up on the full screen till I realize just how useful and practical these modes were. There was even a practice mode that I try to help develop with Thomas on their newest version of their rhythm watch where it allows you to play the click for a certain number of measures, then turn it off for a certain number of measures before the client comes back in. That let you know just how good your timing is we’re not playing with a click. Incredibly useful, given the last thing you want is to be reliant on the clinic. I could go on for hours. I don’t remember what this cost I purchased it close to a decade ago. But, whatever it is it’s worth it.

  • The best!

I have relied on this app for many years now both for personal use and use as a teacher. It didn’t take very long before I purchased the full app because the full power is very helpful to longtime Musician that wants to target areas that are difficult to reach. This is been my one stop and I’ve got a feeling it will always be. If you’re looking at this, then you are a musician that’s not dismissive or worse, oblivious to time and keeping time. If you’re looking to get into a metronome with a full pallet of options, I recommend immediately downloading it and giving it a shot before you download too many only to find that they will keep time, but won’t allow you to challenge yourself and grow. There might be other good ones out there, my search ended many years ago, right here. If I had a device in the future, that did not have this app I would be seriously disappointed. You won’t regret having this app, but you might regret the fact that perhaps you haven’t had anything like it!! I appreciate this opportunity to share my thoughts about my experience, thank you!

  • Intuitive, powerful, cheap!

The “ol’ reliable” of any musician’s apps. Got me through all 4 of my high school years because it’s simple and easy to use, but comes with so many features. As a percussionist it helps me to teach my friends who are confused about odd time signatures or need help one way or another in rhythm, and this metronome is easy to teach yourself without any guide, it handles whatever you want to throw at it. Want to change time signature or tempo after a certain amount of time? It can do that. Want to practice polyrhythms? It can do that. (Granted, it is locked behind a subscription which I disagree with since software doesn’t cost money to distribute, but nonetheless even without premium, nearly all of the features you’ll ever need are free.)
