  • This metronome single-handedly legitimizes technology on peoples phones.

    I’ve been using this quite a bit while practicing my drums and guitar. Being an old-school player all I needed was a simple steady Metronome. But it wasn’t until I used it with my iPad and upped it up on the full screen till I realize just how useful and practical these modes were. There was even a practice mode that I try to help develop with Thomas on their newest version of their rhythm watch where it allows you to play the click for a certain number of measures, then turn it off for a certain number of measures before the client comes back in. That let you know just how good your timing is we’re not playing with a click. Incredibly useful, given the last thing you want is to be reliant on the clinic. I could go on for hours. I don’t remember what this cost I purchased it close to a decade ago. But, whatever it is it’s worth it.

  • The best!

    I have relied on this app for many years now both for personal use and use as a teacher. It didn’t take very long before I purchased the full app because the full power is very helpful to longtime Musician that wants to target areas that are difficult to reach. This is been my one stop and I’ve got a feeling it will always be. If you’re looking at this, then you are a musician that’s not dismissive or worse, oblivious to time and keeping time. If you’re looking to get into a metronome with a full pallet of options, I recommend immediately downloading it and giving it a shot before you download too many only to find that they will keep time, but won’t allow you to challenge yourself and grow. There might be other good ones out there, my search ended many years ago, right here. If I had a device in the future, that did not have this app I would be seriously disappointed. You won’t regret having this app, but you might regret the fact that perhaps you haven’t had anything like it!! I appreciate this opportunity to share my thoughts about my experience, thank you!

  • Intuitive, powerful, cheap!

    The “ol’ reliable” of any musician’s apps. Got me through all 4 of my high school years because it’s simple and easy to use, but comes with so many features. As a percussionist it helps me to teach my friends who are confused about odd time signatures or need help one way or another in rhythm, and this metronome is easy to teach yourself without any guide, it handles whatever you want to throw at it. Want to change time signature or tempo after a certain amount of time? It can do that. Want to practice polyrhythms? It can do that. (Granted, it is locked behind a subscription which I disagree with since software doesn’t cost money to distribute, but nonetheless even without premium, nearly all of the features you’ll ever need are free.)

  • Great app and customer service

    This is my favorite metronome app. Simple interface, yet it can do complex stuff if you want it to. I like the pendulum and other means to visually see when the next beat is coming, and different ways you can emphasize beats. I also like the fact that it works in portrait or landscape mode. It also has a measure counter which I find helpful so I don’t make my 16 bar songs 15 or 17 bars. Finally, in the latest version they added comparability with a foot pedal. It works great with the “Stomp” that I bought. It was new to them and it took a couple of conversations over email, though I was able to get upgraded to the latest version that supports the pedal. I never would expect to have such good communication and customer service from an inexpensive app developer.

  • THE Metronome

    I’ve used this metronome for over 5 years. At face value, a metronome is a metronome….. but I love that I can customize the sounds of the clicks for different listening situations to always make sure the metronome comes through my mix clearly, and to always make sure my accents are where I need them to be. I also like to use the actual drum sounds that are built in. I can make a full 4 bar drum loop and place my kicks and snares where I want them for some fun jam sessions.

    They recently changed their monetization system for their premium services to a subscription. I did use the premium version for years where I only paid the up front price of a few dollars. This is the only metronome I use. After all these years, it’s the only metronome I want to use. Their annual pricing is very reasonable and absolutely worth it for me. I couldn’t imagine using another app for my metronome needs.

  • Great app, but lazy

    Plenty of reviser talking about the comprehensive feature set: almost overwhelming. If you need more than this thing has then you need more than a metronome.

    However, I hate to launch this app. Sometimes I have to stare at the ugly launch screen for 10 seconds. Frequently much longer. Sometimes I have to force quit and try again. It’s maddening, and it has a tendency to destroy my flow when I’m practicing. What is it doing?! Sending my photos library to the moon? Going through my contacts to see if I’m friends with anyone who can get Taylor Swift tickets for the developer? Every time?! What could it possibly be doing?! I was inclined to give the app fewer stars because it has trained me to not want to use a metronome at all. It’s probably greedily checking to see if I’ve purchased the app. I have. Please figure out a way to speed up launch, developer.

  • I LOVE THIS

    I think this is super helpful because I started orchestra a couple months ago and the metronome I was using just wasn’t loud enough and I was getting frustrated but when I got this app I was instantly relieved because it shows you when you need to play and stop your note basically and that was my problem because I would start training off and this helps me be on track. You can also change the beat super well so I don’t need to depend on the sound so this is super helpful. NO MORE FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Voice Counting Is SO Helpful

    My school Orchestra is coming up. I play percussion. One of the pieces were playing is SLOW. I play snare in it, and, while the rhythms are easy, once I tried playing them at the correct speed, they fell apart. I decided to try playing with a Metronome. At first, this app didn’t help me. It wasn’t the apps fault, the metronome just wasn’t helping. I was about to give up on the metronome, when i discovered that you can change how it sounds. I looked through it, and I saw Voice. I decided to try it, it couldn’t hurt. Suddenly, it started Counting. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4…
    I don’t know how to explain it, but, once I did this. I just, got it.
    I played through the piece, and while I had trouble on some of the rhythms, I was playing it mostly correctly, with the right tempo.

  • The best metronome app? Yep.

    It is the best metronome app. I absolutely love it and that’s why I am quite disappointed that it seems it is no longer supported.

    I haven’t been able to find a good alternative, yet, and I suspect there won’t be one for a long time. Either way, aside from some interface adjustments (e.g, improving the landscape mode on iPad to provide similar functionality as the portrait mode), the functionality is amazing.

    I use it for training with the automator function; to experiment and practice polyrhythms; and, of course, as your run of the mill metronome with all the added bells and whistles this offers.

  • Shiftable Setlist

    I love this metronome program. Unfortunately however, in a recent update, they removed the ability to rearrange “song titles” in a playlist. Before, you could grab a title in the playlist and drag it up and down in the order of titles. This is an imperative need in the edit playlist function that will hopefully return asap.
    if I am overlooking this revised functionality can you please advise. I need it for tonight’s show! And then for next week’s shows too, that will have a different order of songs in the play list. But I am unable to do so in this recent revision. Please advise.
