  • Best metronome App

Super awesome metronome. Could handle basic rhythm to some crazy polyrhythmic stuff. And I haven’t even went full pro mode. Though I’m about to do it. It’s got a lot of cool features. You can read about them below. I LOVE how you can accent each beat, with multiple intensities, to help you feel whatever you are working on.

If there was something I would like to see:

A bigger brighter visual metronome. Like full screen. I use visual metronomes more than the auditory ones. So a massive bright pulse would be awesome. It would be neat to have a drop down with all of the classical tempo markings. Like you click allegro and it takes you to 120. I use this a ton for solfege. And I’m not a classically minded musician. So I find myself having to look up tempos quite a bit. Especially the less common ones.

But these are not complaints. This metronome is far better than the others. I apologize if any of these features are in the pro version. I’ll be upgrading within the hour.

  • Greatest metronome app ever!

I have been playing percussion basically my entire life, and have gone through quite a few different metronomes that were okay. I mean, they kept time, sure, but they couldn’t do a good many things that would have helped me improve. This metronome does that. For instance, the 4/4 time setting is not static on this metronome. You can change the number of beats per measure among other things in case you need to practice playing a song like “The Ocean” by Led Zeppelin (which is in 7/8 time). Plus, I’m sure I need not mention the amazing array of sounds and customization available in this app. You can even play to uploaded songs. No need to tap it out yourself and find the correct timing before going off of the actual song and using the metronome (which is time consuming and quite annoying, if you ask me). You can just hit the song you need and it will give you the correct timing and bpm for it. These producers made an amazing app that is free (or includes a small, one-time purchase if you want a REALLY good experience like me) and is very high quality. They just did an outstanding job and I can HIGHLY recommended this app to anyone who has been a long-time musician or even is just starting out. To the producers, thank you so much. This app has really done a lot for the quality of my percussion playing. I appreciate all the hard work that went into this.

  • Really a great app

I am my high school marching band’s head drum major, so it’s critical that I have a strong internal pulse. I love using this app (i bought the full version) because of the rhythm training feature, which helps me immensely as a drum major, and I also love that I can program it so it lines up with the music of our marching show. It’s also just a nice app to have during symphonic season when I’m working on etudes. I think all of the subdivision features are super useful and it was definitely worth paying for. Only problem I’m suddenly having is the layout of the app at the moment. It’s glitchy and the buttons are out of place.

  • Just what I was looking for

The visuals help me with timing by precisely indicating when the note ought be struck with the moving bar and it’s “pong like” quickness when reversing direction. I can match duration with the lighting up of the block indicating the beat divisions. When I match it correctly it feels like the note is lighting the block and I know I am in time.

Also, I like the portrait/landscape feature because I can set my phone up horizontally with my capo for a stand.

The pro one has a programmable “schedule” that can help you go through a system of sorts with different practices and a rhythm trainer and other features.

Only negative I see is that I can’t use it with tonebridge or my amp app. It would be better if I could plug it in while using my iRig with an amp on my phone.

It would be even better if there was an indicator of my accuracy, maybe a complementary colored, thin vertical line that flashed slightly longer past the click or something.

  • The Greatest Metronome for Me!

Well, I never really downloaded myself. I was recommended this app because of my Piano Teacher. Turns out, It is a solid one! I have been using this app ever since I STARTED PIANO 3 YEARS AGO!!! I can tell you this producers, you've done a very well done job! But, I only do the basics since my teacher told me not to mess with anything else. And I know why, since it's really complicated for me. Remember, I'm just getting THE HANG of it! So I would like to make a suggestion for you. Can you please do a tutorial or instructions once they downloaded it? Because, the new people trying out your app DOESN'T have a clue what to do! That would be nice for me and the new people! Also, you made it easier for me! It's much better for me because I don't have to do my own Metronome! (Besides It didn't work out good 😬 😂) It's even FREE, so you don't have to use ANY CENT from you wallet! Thank YOU guys for this app. It is making my life better and also as a Piano student! Wish you guys the best and have a happy year!

    Love,

    Angellw820 ❤️

  • Great!

As a music major in college, this metronome has everything that I could possibly need. My only suggestion would be that on the iPhone X and later models, one cannot pull down the control center on the upper right part of the screen without pressing the yellow screen orientation button within the app. So when I try to adjust my phone's volume (without the use of the side buttons), I always hit the screen orientation button unless I exit the app first then reenter, or mash the physical volume up key on my phone. It's a very small gripe as I could try to train myself to adjust the volume before entering the app, but a suggestion to move that button elsewhere nontheless.

  • So far the most professional metronome I can find

I have to say it wasn’t intuitive when I first bought it (I paid, didn’t I?). I never had music instrument training in my life but recently started to play drums. I got a few metronome apps, paid or free. This one looks a bit complicated, for a couple of months I only used the basic functions. When I started to train for doubles (the big big), it’s function to speed up automatically makes HUGE difference. It’s also super flexible to set subdivisions or triplets and save the tempo, so I can switch from rock drumming to jazz literally in a second. If you are serious about training, this is the only metronome you need, it has everything. Be a little patient and find out where everything is. I had no common sense on music, nothing was intuitive to me, but if I can find it, surely you can.

  • It’s not a bad app, but I was overwhelmingly frustrated.

Like I said, it’s not a bad app. It’s got great features and foreseeable success. I liked the fact that you could set timers and change the sound of each beat if you wanted, but I suggest not using the tap button to change the tempo. That’s not my main issue with my short lived experience with this app, but just to test it out, I was tapping along with the tempo I already had (120bpm) to see if it’d only change one or two numbers or not at all. It plummeted down to 80bpm; not even close.
Other than that, everything was great...almost. I was trying to play music and I would have to keep stopping because the last beat would somehow keep muting itself. To add insult to injury, the tempo would move up two beats every few minutes, and I was entirely confused. My frustration continued to grow as pop ups to buy the full version assaulted my screen repeatedly.
It kept opening different sections by itself and I couldn’t get anything done. Needless to say, it is no longer on my phone.

  • Nice, but frustrating......

I started out with a weird metronome app that glitches a lot. Then my mom bought this app that worked much better. Next, I bought my third metronome. It was a lot better than the others, but a few months later it stopped working. I trashed it and returned to my second metronome. It is way better than I thought it would turn out because there was this awesome update. But it is too quiet. I couldn’t hear the beat while playing the violin. But otherwise, it is the best metronome app I’ve ever seen! :)

  • Only one I need

I love all of the features! I love everything about the app, I really do. I've had dozens of metronome apps but this is the only one I actually enjoy using. It's boring enough playing to a click, but these guys actually have given my click a bit of personality which enables me to play to my click as much as I should. My chops are better than ever and it's simply because of how much I use this app! My only wish is that I had a larger variety of sounds to choose from, as to blend into different songs a little more seamlessly. Id also like to have different color schemes to choose from. I know this sounds petty, but it's genuinely the ONLY thing I would change and I felt the need to add a negative to keep balance and plant seeds for my wishes to blossom from. 😂
