  • Best Metronome I’ve Used!

When I first started playing my flute, it was pretty hard to keep track of my tempo, and everything was off. Then I finally asked my teacher what his was called since I’ve been using one on google. This was so easy to use, especially since you can change the time signatures and make the clicks a different pitch. Overall, it’s changed my flute experience, and I’m really glad I downloaded it.

  • One request

I have Pro Metronome on both my phone and now iPad. What I would really like is a volume control on the main screen. I have my iPad connected to an audio interface for practicing , especially at night with headphones. Problem is Pro Metronome is louder than the piano and no way to turn Pro Metronome down. Be nice to have way to control the output of the Pro Metronome.

Other than my request above Pro Metronome is a great app. I highly recommend it.

  • Great for Music Teachers

I use this app as a choral director and private voice instructor and I recommend it to my students. It’s user friendly, and my students are able to easily use it for their practices away from me. In my Choral rehearsals, we refer to this app as Mr. Metronome, and my singers get to hear it over a Bluetooth speaker. They groan when I bring out Mr. Metronome—but they are always better afterwards!

Perhaps I’ve missed it, but I would love a feature that would allow me to program in meter changes, as this happens quite a bit in Renaissance vocal music. Example: 32 measures at 4/4, followed by 8 measures of 3/4, then back to 4. Its a small issue, really. I simply adjust the strong beats right now so everything sounds the same when we have mixed meter, but I’d pay for a programmable feature like that.

    Thanks for a great app!

  • Great!

I have to say, this is terrific! I used to have terrible rhythm. I didn’t want to buy a real metronome, so I searched for a metronome app. Well, I chose this one! While still helping me improve, It has lots of other options, too. There are timers, lists you can create, and who knew that it had a rhythm trainer that could mute certain bars! Not that it’s too distracting. I am only using the basic version, but it’s still a good- no, great app!
Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

  • Works well for me!

One of the functions of it that I enjoy is the ability to choose which beats are emphasized. You can set beat one to mute, beat two to volume lvl 3, beat three to volume lvl 1, and beat four to volume 2 or however you’d like to set it up. Being able to choose the sound effect is nice, but then being able to adjust each beat in the bar can be helpful as well. I like the app for what it is and, at least right now, it’s not throwing adds up every two seconds which is perhaps my favorite thing about it. Cheers

  • Useful, but please remove volume warning!

This app has great features and is very reliable. I love that it clicks rather than beeps, so there’s no pitch to worry about. The one thing that drives me insane is when I turn the volume all the way down, it pops up a window that says “oops! Volume is too low!” And I have to click out of it before I can use the damned thing. I frequently need to clock my students while they are playing, which I obviously can’t do with sound. There are many times when a visual representation only would be helpful... even old school metronomes have the option to use click + light or only light. Please, please let me decide if I want it to be silent! I do this enough that it seriously makes me want to rip my hair out and find another app.

  • Best metronome ever

I’ve been trying to learn bass for the last few months and only recently discovered what a metronome is used for... this app is absolutely perfect for learning rhythm and timing. I love how it’s not just one digital sounding click noise when you can actually change it to sound like real drums and arrange how you want it to play. One unique feature that I love is that it stays playing in the background on your phone no matter what. Meaning I can simultaneously record myself playing while the beat is still going. This app is more than just a metronome it’s a portable drum machine. FOR FREE.

  • Amazing

This app is great, and it has a lot of features, such as you being able to change the tempo, the bpm, and the 4/4 setting is not static as it usually is in other metronomes. I read some bad reviews saying, ‘The last beat will just mute itself!’ But don’t listen to that, just go to settings and turn off rhythm trainer, And there are other reviews saying, “the tempo will randomly jump up” but that’s because you’re in practice mode, you dimwit. It’s also free. and if you want an superb experience, just pay a small one-time payment! This is AMAZING!

  • This is a tried and true metronome

Preface: have been using this app for over 4 years and have paid for the pro version.

I can’t tell you how useful this tool is. It has been a great app for practicing and even learning rhythms. I HIGHLY recommend this metronome. Even though I have the pro version, even the free version is a solid app. One of my favorite features is the ability to make the rhythms whatever you want it to be. This has been supper useful when having to learn difficult rhythms. If the pro version is still around $5, then I would suggest you go for it.
