Crashes every time - Komoot integration the cause?
Been using the App for years with an ELEMNT then a ELEMNT Roam, and it’s pretty much worked flawlessly, with seemless integration to Strava and Komoot. I can create routes in either (komoot being the better option) and those routes are easily synched to the App and head unit.
Unfortunate the App has been crashing more often culminating in constant crashes since moving to iOS 18. The App now crashes every time it’s launched shortly after it is launched making the head unit a very expensive paperweight!!
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the App several times but shortly after completing the install which includes linking accounts, it crashes.
I have managed to get the App working through a process of elimination. By not linking my Komoot account the App seems stable and has allowed my unsynced rides to upload.
I’ve reported my findings to Wahoo and see if they can fix the issue with Komoot integration as it seems that it’s crashing at the point it tries to sync routes.
Would hate to have to move to a Garmin device but may be left with no alternative if I can’t import routes from Komoot. Komoot can export directly to Garmin devices!

45% of the time it works every time
Imagine every possible glitch, bug, error and connectivity issue possible. Now, imagine you’ll have one of these just less than every other time you use the app or head unit. You’ll consider switching to another brand, you might even consider riding for the enjoyment and leaving all electronics at home, but you don’t ride a hand made titanium bike, your bike is still carbon. So you plod along keeping your fingers crossed that the next software update will fix your issues, but no, one error fixed, one bug created. You even buy a new Wahoo head unit thinking the rep gave you an incredible discount and a newer model will work better, but no, it’s as clunky as ever. I will continue to suffer because it’s just good enough not to make me put my SPD cleat straight through the screen, which I might add, is highly resilient to scratching/cracking.

Connexion wifi
Super cyclomètre, mais difficultés de connexion wifi…
Used to work seamlessly
I don’t know what Wahoo have done, but the app now hangs, crashes, fails to upload, and generally causes frustration.
Maddening
The inability to update this using one’s own data vs having to use WiFi is maddening. Numerous failed attempts to update the device even though the WiFi signal is more than adequate gives this otherwise great tool a 1/5 rating. Can’t believe I’ve wasted so much time trying to update this POS.
Error 404 with training peaks
every other app seems to work but training peaks comes up with error message 404. the app worked seamlessly for 2 months but then one day it started coming up with this error message. If it weren’t for this problem the app is near flawless. I’ve heard the same with other elemnt users and not being able to upload to training peaks while strava and other apps work perfectly fine. Please address this issue.

GPS mapping
Device is great for most of my needs but I still have to use my phone for GPS as Wahoo does not recalculate route even if you go fifty meters of the route. Frustrating
The most streamlined cycling head unit experience!
Far better than the competition, way ahead of the curve!
Wahoo gives its user a unified experience no matter which Elemnt unit you own… loading a route is incredibly easy, starting a work

Trash app and environment!
It works when it works. But the problem is that it never works 100%, each new update something breaks. This new version is the time of Strava upload workout not to work. It is ridiculous the concept of this app, after you finish the workout you were supposed to sync it into the companion app, and from there everything works on your phone, the bike computer is just a terminal (or at least should be), but nop, most of things you have to have the device around to make the companion app to work properly. Ohhh yes, the bike computer (bolt v2) once in while just loses connection with a sensor and you just realize after you start the ride, so you have to stop, disconnect, and re-connect the sensor. But it is not a 3rd party sensor, I’m talking about wahoo sensors, like kickr, tickr, etc.

Wahoo Kickr v-5
Using my Kickr v-5 for my training along with my Wahoo app. Very good once you get into the app. It did take me a week or too figured it out. But now I love using my bike routes and importing other ride and workouts from different apps …Strava
