Medical Care and billing
I received excellent medical care from Mercy. However! Their methods of billing are awful. If you didn’t have high blood pressure when you walked in, you will have when they show you the bill before the appointment even starts. And if you have multiple appointments bills come flying in. I don’t understand why those bills aren’t forwarded to the insurance company for review before they are collated by Mercy so that one bill may be sent to the patient perhaps per business quarter. I have a $6000. Annual out of pocket maximum policy and if I had paid every bill I’ve seen on the My Mercy app. I would have passed the max by a lot. Managing your health is only half of the chore. Managing your cost seems to also be on the patient.Show lessVery helpful with navigating your medical stuff
This app is a big help when it comes to getting around your medical info. It has the usual summary and details that the regular MyMercy (Epic’s MyChart) plus more.
I downloaded it and used it on some appointments. As someone who would rather just get things done without having to spend a lot of time talking to a bunch of different people, especially about personal issues, this app was a big help. It let me do the bulk of the normal check in stuff on my phone. Since my appointment was in Mercy’s new Center for Performance Medicine, I had no idea where anything was. The app helped me get around the building and find where I needed to be. I don’t usually bother to rate a lot of apps, but health care can be a pain. I’m happy to find anything that helps.Show lessMercy My Chart
I am accustomed to using My Chart in the Kettering Network in Ohio. This chart does not give you the information you need in a timely manner, nor does it give you complete information. Blood work should be on there as soon as it's complete. Graphic chart of the last 10 test results; such as eGFR results so you can see your kidney function, lipids, etc. When I click any Dr., I see for care it brings up future appt. and all past appointments with notes. Kettering is a software powered by Epic as well as Mercy so I know more information is available. I was asked at my last medical appointment if I wanted the paper printout; I should have taken it its still not available. I am very disappointed in the underutilization of this software.Show less
