Angry

I cancelled my free trial the day I signed up for it as I realized that a free app I had worked just the same for my needs. That was in September 2024. Just this past week or so
(December) I started getting notifications to log my food . I found that although it shows that I had cancelled my free trial it also showed separately that I had paid $90 for a years subscription. Neither Foodvisor nor the Apple report a problem function has responded to my refund request. I have tried multiple ways with no success and eventually decided to use the Apple scam and fraud process to log my complaint as there was no response offering any other way to get a refund other than to report the problem through Apple which obviously has a problem with the date from which it believes I’ve been using the app. I have never used the app as I believed I had cancelled it THE DAY I SIGNED UP FOR IT. (Yes I’m angry). To use the report a problem with Apple to request my refund will also be Foodvisor’s response to this review today which will be frustrating because for whatever reason that option doesn’t work for me. So for whoever is reading this I would like a simple full refund without having to go through hoops to get it. Thank you!

Not impressed

Doesn’t connect to apple health on a regular basis……

Saving Grace

You know when you’re on your wits end? You have tried everything, your postmenopausal, stubborn weight around your gut and you think you’re eating well? Well, I stumbled onto Foodvisor and said why not let’s give this a try. I realized my relationship with food was less than to be desired. I was eating all right, but not the right amount quantity wise. Foodvisor psychologically walk you through a day of mindfulness. It allows you to set goals for the day. It gives suggestions for your next meal and insights on what you could’ve changed. It works on a four scale, fat, protein, carbs, fiber. And the goal is to fill those circles up with what’s on your plate. It also has colors to remind you that you are making good choices. Blue, teal, orange, red being the worst. It is a smart app and reward you emotionally. It really prepares you to have a better relationship with your food and better choices. I am on my 32nd day I have lost 6 pounds. I also started walking daily. I love this app and I hope it doesn’t end R. George

Great tool but 90% of products have incorrect nutritional information

Great app but I am finding most products have nutritional information that is inaccurate (which may be that the product changed) or completely wrong (as in a slice of "normal" cheese having 1 Cal). You can report it as incorrect BUT you cannot override the information. So if you want to add it, you need to add it with incorrect data. The app should allow you to override the values for your own diary. Sometimes manually searching you find another instance of the same product with better or accurate data. It defeats the purpose of having barcode scanning functionality. I am seriously reporting updated nutritional information for 9 of every 10 products I scan. Am I picky? Yes. But this is a macro and calorie tracking app. If you are not picky and strict you might as well not track anything

Breastfeeding

Great app, I am really enjoying the lessons and find the app is really easy to use. I am currently breastfeeding so I don’t think the app reflects the appropriate amount of calories without losing my milk supply, is this something that could be built into an update?

Lost enough weight to fit in jeans!

Stress has led to an extra few pounds. At the start of the year I bought a really nice pair of jeans. I’ve spent months trying to get into them and finally conceded that I needed something to guide and motivate me to stop snacking. Foodvisor has only taken a few minutes a day but enough of a reminder of why I’m trying to achieve my goal. In 4 weeks I dropped enough weight to get into the jeans. Not the answer to everything but a daily prompt to make me think twice about the sugary snacks so well worth trying.

Allot of Incorrect Nutrition Information

I had high hopes for this app and although I like how the app looks and feels I have noticed allot of problems with the nutrition facts. I continue to submit reports but I want to log the correct information right away. The app won’t let me log manually the correct nutrition data for my meal while waiting for someone to review a report with no timeline on when it will be fixed. This is very frustrating because I then have to find something with a similar match and then examine the nutrition and then adjust the serving size to try and get a close match. It’s a pain. Also there does not seem to be an option to track in cups (1/4, 1/2, 1 etc) or tsp or tablespoons which makes tracking some things very difficult. I am requesting a refund I’ll just go old school and track calories with pen and paper.
