  • Swipe Down function on iPad not working.

I cannot get the metered timing to stop. Swipe function not working on my iPad.
  • Perfect

    Everything I ask for...
  • One missing feature...

As mentioned in other reviews, this is a fantastic metronome. However (and this is a big however), developers seriously need to fix a problem this app has. We need to have split-screen/slide-over functionality. A lot of musicians practise with a timer to keep track of concepts/techniques they are working on. I myself always use the clock app on the ipad along with Time Guru. Problem is I have to keep fumbling around to set new timers and alarms whilst I have this app open. Just hide the sound selection bar, no one uses that, and allow the app to scale to work side by side with another app. Surprised it’s been this long and they haven’t addressed this. Almost every other app on the app store does it now. Please listen to us.

Other than that. Definitely still my go to metronome for practising.

  • Feature Request: Better multitasking

I’ve used this the iPhone version for awhile now. The ability to save your own “drum like pattern” presets is great, but I wish it had multitasking options like SlideOver and maybe Splitview (a GUI refresh would be great too, but that’s not as necessary)...
  • Almost what I was looking for

I'm a new bass player trying to wrap my head around rhythm. My new exercises explore triplets and 16th notes. I wanted an app that I could input the rhythm from my exercises and have it play back in various tempos.

This app does that, except it doesn't allow you to input dotted quarter notes.

    So, so close.

  • Awesome as expected, but one suggestion

Just like the iPhone version, everything in one place is a nice look!

I'd suggest disabling the preview of the different sounds/disabling it during play. Especially with the people, as they have to count all the way to 14 before they stop. Fix it up and it'll be 5 stars easy :)
  • The excellent Time Guru with a great layout for iPads

This new iPad-specific version of Time Guru takes advantage of the extra screen size of the iPad (compared to the iPhone) and puts all the main functions on one screen, with a simple toggle between presets and settings. It’s an awesome practice tool that has graduated to having it’s own iPad version. Yay!
