Reviews of PolyNome

  • The Best App In The World

Joe, the programmer, is a diligent musical educator who is dedicated to excellence in his product and desire to help other musicians. It is hard to imagine a rhythmic task that this app cannot handle. The depth of programming is second to none. Joe thought of everything, and continually improves the product. The video instruction library is also very helpful because seeing a demonstration of the product in action is the best way to learn how to use it. I can tell that Joe has a passion for his art and his product. If I were a programmer this would be the standard for which I would aspire. Thank you Joe!

Thank you so much for the great review!
  • Incredible, just get it!

Calling it the swiss army knife of metronome & practice apps doesn't do it justice. From start to finish this is a brilliantly thought out, innovative and supported app. Joe, the app's developer, clearly uses it for his own gigs, teaching, and practice, so is invested in it being as good as he can make it, with constant tweaks and well thought out features. That was made clear to me just this weekend when he responded to my emailed question within hours, with a personal video explanation! Amazing. I am still discovering new ways to make use of it in my drumming practice, and still finding features I didn't know were there. For example the ability to create beats and loop them over top of other custom metronome patterns has been fantastic for working with Gary Chester's New Breed. Then there is the fact that all tempos are recorded & attached to a date/time associated with a given playlist, making it great for keeping track of progress on snare pieces for example. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this is well worth the money, and well worth the time it takes to dig into it.

Thanks for such a great review. It means a little to know how useful you find it. I’m always happy to help with questions :)
  • The only metronome you’ll ever need

I’m a music teacher and performer. I’ve downloaded most of the iOS metronomes to review for my students. This is the one that I use for teaching, studying, and performing. It’s feature rich yet easy enough for a beginner. It now has a track mark up feature for transcribing/learning songs. It’s so good that I paid for the premium service. The developer is amazing and always replies to any questions. I love it. My Dr. Beat and transcribing apps don’t.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the glowing review. You’ll be excited to know that there are fun new additions in the pipeline!
