  • The Best App In The World

Joe, the programmer, is a diligent musical educator who is dedicated to excellence in his product and desire to help other musicians. It is hard to imagine a rhythmic task that this app cannot handle. The depth of programming is second to none. Joe thought of everything, and continually improves the product. The video instruction library is also very helpful because seeing a demonstration of the product in action is the best way to learn how to use it. I can tell that Joe has a passion for his art and his product. If I were a programmer this would be the standard for which I would aspire. Thank you Joe!

  • Incredible, just get it!

Calling it the swiss army knife of metronome & practice apps doesn't do it justice. From start to finish this is a brilliantly thought out, innovative and supported app. Joe, the app's developer, clearly uses it for his own gigs, teaching, and practice, so is invested in it being as good as he can make it, with constant tweaks and well thought out features. That was made clear to me just this weekend when he responded to my emailed question within hours, with a personal video explanation! Amazing. I am still discovering new ways to make use of it in my drumming practice, and still finding features I didn't know were there. For example the ability to create beats and loop them over top of other custom metronome patterns has been fantastic for working with Gary Chester's New Breed. Then there is the fact that all tempos are recorded & attached to a date/time associated with a given playlist, making it great for keeping track of progress on snare pieces for example. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this is well worth the money, and well worth the time it takes to dig into it.

  • The only metronome you’ll ever need

I’m a music teacher and performer. I’ve downloaded most of the iOS metronomes to review for my students. This is the one that I use for teaching, studying, and performing. It’s feature rich yet easy enough for a beginner. It now has a track mark up feature for transcribing/learning songs. It’s so good that I paid for the premium service. The developer is amazing and always replies to any questions. I love it. My Dr. Beat and transcribing apps don’t.

  • Polynome Pro

Best metronome and practice app. No contest. Get it! I have been using this app since version 1, it just gets better and better and even better! Voice counts, tempo and time signatures, playlists, Polyrhythmic counts if you need them. Multiple sounds for clicks or rhythms, accents, level mixer. In short the most advanced and useful performance, practice and creative metronome out there. It is seriously a no brainer buy immediately! Plus the developer listens to suggestions and often implements them in the next version, which is very regular.

  • #1

Très précis et les possibilités sont infinies. Il faut prendre le temps de bien lire et regarder les vidéos informatives.
  • Over complicated

You have to pay for it then you realise that you can’t use half the features you can on pro, that makes you feel really ripped off. Also it’s just far to complicated to use that it makes things more difficult

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for leaving a review. I’m sorry that you feel ripped off. The description on the App Store indicates which features are part of premium. Regarding the complexity, there is a bit of a learning curve. I’ve been working hard to make things clearer and simpler and I think you’ll find the next update makes it much easier to learn and use. If there’s anything in particular that you’d like to do and can’t find an answer in the searchable Help, please just email me at support@polynome.net. I usually respond within 12 hours and will give you all the assistance you need. All the best, Joe
  • Does everything

    Fantastic !
  • Sometimes skips beats

Honestly this is a great app for people practicing an instrument but I find that sometimes I’m practicing drums and I find myself playing out of time with the metronome. Now I would put it past myself to mess up occasionally but I listened to the metronome again and it actually does skip half a beat or so every now and then. Otherwise amazing app I really enjoy drumming to it.

Hi Nazeem, thanks for leaving a review. I’d love to get to the bottom of the beat skipping you’re referring to - it certainly shouldn’t be happening. Please email me at support@polynome.net and we’ll figure it out. Best, Joe
  • What’s the differences between pro edition and subscription edition?

A little bit confused about the edition. I saw a pro one in Apple app store.
