  • Great for all sorts of tasks

Always had excellent results when using their agents for help. The different tasks that I’ve used agents for our countless Dash everything from helping with the computer problem, setting up a new smart TV, and getting directions for different products. Also, help with traveling.
  • Amazing

I’d like Iowa because it’s very accessible with voiceover. They are better than Be My Eyes in my opinion. What makes them better is because me and that particular Ira volunteer has flashlight in their phone and camera. I had an inspection that I needed to do when I had to clean up. They were easy to get around with. When I showed them the stuff I needed cleaned and if I missed anything, they said no. I was fineThe mirror was clean, toilet was clean, floor looks shiny, clean, and vacuumed, bed was made correctly, sink in my room in the bathroom or clean, the back of the toilet was clean, nothing on the floor such as candy wrappers in the trash was empty. And all of a sudden that evening, thanks to them, and I passed my room inspection. So I think you guys so much for the help.
  • Aira

This is apaid service with some other options but is invaluable to me as a totally blind woman living alone, saving immeasurable amounts of time with web site tasks, mail and anything else that requires vision. Agents are bonded and I feel safe asking them to perform personal financial tasks.
  • Great service but could be more flexible

I love the app however it is very expensive and now that they have changed the five minute call policy to once a day fore guests and once every 4 hours for paying explorers I feel like there should be longer free calls fore tasks that take more time. Or, give us more minutes fore the money we pay. Great service and great agents though
  • Excellent app!

This app is extremely useful and helpful. My one complaint with it is that it’s pretty expensive. Unfortunately that’s just the way it is with a lot of assistive technology or assistive help. Which is annoying considering that disabled people are a lot less employed therefore not bringing in as much money as our able-bodied counterparts. With that being said you do get five minutes free anytime you call. It’s surprising how many tasks you can complete within that time. You can leave reviews and ratings after each call to let Ira know how the agent did. All in all this app is definitely worth the download but maybe not the subscription.

PS. There are some businesses like target where you can get unlimited free minutes while you are shopping. Also they do help with inaccessible job application websites.
  • Connectivity could be better

So far it has been the best money I’ve spent in my life however connectivity is a big issue but the agents are very helpful very patient and willing to work with you through any connectivity issues
  • Great service but has a long way to go on certain things

I love using this app during COVID-19 but if you use the five minutes l like doing work emails it takes time to get the team viewer up and running and then you have to speak to the agent and to see if they can type as fast as you’re speaking so you do not go over the five minutes and have to call back to back and I do agree with one of the other reviewer’s that they need to make special Time events like if you want to cook something or take a walk or need help with a longer task if they made the subscription mode like this I wold pay for it . Guest accounts need to have a usage meter to know how many minutes you use because I am trying to lower my usage of this app
  • A real game changer for blind people

I must admit. It took a lot of convincing on the part of my coworkers to get me signed up for this app, but now that I’m using it regularly, it’s a real game changer. Basically, for those who don’t know, this app connect you with a real live person, who is paid to provide Visual information for blind people. This could include everything from describing your surroundings as you walk, to something as small and every day as meal preparation. Anything that requires visual help, these people are allowed to do. And this can even include helping us make informed decisions about what to purchase online. I recommend this app for anyone who is stuck in a situation, and friends and family can’t be available to help.
  • I 💕using aira

Being vision impaired & living on my own with no one to assist me, having aira is the best assistant you can ever have. Agents can assist you in all things: reading mail, reading labels, reading out recipes, reading vending machines, ect. Aira agent’s live across the world. One time, got an agent I think in Germany!! If I didn’t have a vision problem, I would definitely be an aira agent to assist those with vision loss. I’m 49 years old, & I highly recommend aira to any person who is sight impaired or totally blind. Thank you, aira, your truly the best system to use.
  • Enhancing Independence Through Assistance

Living with a visual impairments requires an array of tools for independence. Just look at the App Store for options for OCR, recognition, identification, navigation, and so much more. Personally I have over 30 of these apps on my iOS devices, but all pale in comparison to Aira. Having professional on demand assistants through Aira's Agents enable me to navigate airports and new areas to simply recognizing the regular from decaf coffee. I would not wish to return to a world without Aira, as they won my affections over the last 3 years as a first a critic and now an advocate for their service.
