Poor OpenStreetMap-based navigation app
Karta GPS has so much potential and looks pretty on its face. But when you actually try to use it you realize their OpenStreetMap data is wayyyyy outdated (like over a year) and navigation instruction is poor in many locations. When you contact support they respond to you and say they will work on the error and it will show up in the next maps data update, but that update never happens. As it sits, this app hasn’t been updated in 6 months. And even the problems I reported over 6 months ago have not been fixed in the last update. I get the impression this is a very low budget service and they can’t pay anyone to do the basic business of keeping the app running. If you’re looking for a good offline maps GPS app, you’re better off checking out Magic Earth or Here Maps. Neither of those are perfect, but at least they keep their maps and app updated and get you where you need to go.Show lessCagleman1

I was excited to try out this app as I saw on social media they had fun voices and features like locating speed traps and traffic information. Sadly, the app makes you pay for these services (speed trap info, voices and for no ads). There are other free apps like waze with no ads, better voices, more locations, traffic info and customizable features.Show lesslove this app (not)

Good to know it only supports Bluetooth A2DP for audio. Thanks for your help. I'm really enjoying the fun aspect of this map and will likely purchase the full version to remove the ads now I've fixed my audio issue ha ha!NiceAppMum

As the title says, fantastic for a free app. Willing to pay if a few bugs are sorted out, eg, Apple car play works well, no issues syncing. Navigation has a couple of glitches when routing (taking a scenic route at times).
When connected to Apple carplay, there is NO WAY to insert a new destination. I have to turn my radio off or disconnect to start a new trip.
Be good to have the speed displayed (only an alarm pops up when over speed)
I will keep this on my phone for offline map access.

Only problem is when I let it upgrade it deletes my maps done it twice now and won’t download the map. Very frustratingMishsind

Hi there, the older map is usually deleted only when the new update finishes downloading, so this shouldn't be happening at all. Everything is nice about this app, but the navigation directions definitely need work. It likes to direct me to the back of a Walmart instead of into the parking lot.jamie from utah

Didn’t work when I needed it
I bought the upgrades, had no cell service when I brought my phone to Germany… thought I could rely on my karta for such a situation but it didn’t even get my location and was general garbage.
