If You’re From Out of Town This App Will Save You
TLDR: Rent a gas car if you are from out of town or use Smooev.
Saying that it was a nightmare to find charging for our rental EV would be an understatement. Many of the chargers in NL only worked for Dutch residents fortunately Smooev worked for us as we were from out of town. Smooev was literally the only chargers between Amsterdam and Rotterdam that would charge the car for us without a “charge card”.

Absolute crap!
Another problematic day for me with Smoov.
App is a total crap, loading forever, sometimes even not loading at all!
Customer service not able to help either!
I wish there was other option where I live!
Avoid as much as possible!

Charger Station
This is the worse app I ever use, most the time doesn’t work, service down, one time I have to leave my charging cable locked to the station because the service was down, I could not remove it, and take the all for another driver to come and drop it at mine who is not a staff. Takes money even if they are aware that their service is down, not reliable at all and when you call, all the staffs can do is “I am sorry “

Useless
Every time you use a charge point they take £20 from your account. I was not sure how to use it and after three attempts they took £60 and still I hadn’t charged the vehicle. It take 3/5 days to refund your money, you cannot ring them. It seems that you have to pay £20 to get a £6 charge and you won’t see that £14 balance until it’s refunded several days later. It’s not held as credit against a future charge of your vehicle. So each time you charge having credited a minimum of £20 they hold the unused balance for several days. Why?

How can an app be so slow, crashy and useless? One star is more than it deserves.
Repeated crashes, painful registration process (I just want to charge my car!!), and extremely slow to do anything. I gave up after about 30 mins of trying to get it to work.

Not mature enough
Buggy payment processing. Remembered cards are not functional. Map does not define icons.
Not user friendly, cannot think of anything positive to say
-does not remember card details, have to enter them every time
-does not have an option to pay by apple pay/pay pall
-does not have facial recognition
-one evening the app said there is a problem with my payment card, so I could not charge at all, next morning it’s working with the same card/same amount of money in it
-overly complicated order of opening app and putting the charging cable or it wont work
Overall I have to use it as it’s the only one around my flat, but should another company install a charging point I wont be using this one again!

Utterly frustrating and gave up.

I cannot enter a charge card number that will be accepted.
This at a Shell garage, who have been great in France. Three of us tried for ages in the rain to make the charger work but it clearly is substantially inadequate compared to IONITY etc.
Have you IT developers ever tried to use the app and sign ip as a new customer? Thought not.

Useless, faulty service with zero support
This app is completely unreliable. If you come to an EV charge point which tells you to download this app, simple my move on immediately. This app is over complicated and their charging infrastructure is poorly managed. I am currently sat at a charging an AlleGo charging station in France and all of the chargers are out of service. The two that are have charged me £25 and no delivered any power. The app does not work with the AlleGo system and I have now spend £50 to have to move onto another station.

Rubbish
Truly amazing. Surely it can’t be as bad as the (fed up) reviewer wrote. No wonder they want you to email direct as customer comments tell the truth.
Just couldn’t put my ‘charging card’ number (whatever one of those is...) in. My charge card doesn’t have dashes, they don’t in the uk. But I tried with and without spaces. No luck, giving up now. Avoid. Rubbish.
