Easy to use and great support

I’ve been using TapForms since Apple ceased supporting Bento (2018). Right from the start it was easy to transfer data over and any problems I had the developer was able to assist promptly even though we are at different ends of the world. It also syncs seamlessly over my MacBook, iPad and iPhone. Highly recommend this product.

Version 5.3

Long time user of TF, on Mac, IPad, and iPhone. I use it for fairly simple household databases. Keeping track of our medications, hobbies like coffee roasting, wine making, etc.

I started as a complete newbie using Apples’ Bento product, then when Apple stopped supporting it I found Tapforms and switched to it. Over time it has become way more powerful than Bento was. You can keep it simple or make it complex depending on your needs.

Brendan, the developer, has always offered expert, timely, and useful support. Something that has helped me numerous times over the years as I explore new uses.

I highly recommend this app. Well worth the money.

Invaluable

I use Tapforms to record all the miscellaneous bits of information that I will need to get at sometime. As long as my record contains a keyword or something as a memory jogger I will be able to use the search facility to winkle it out because search checks every field in every record. Furthermore it synchronises across my Mac, iPad and iPhone so it’s always handy - and protected by access procedures on the device then additionally on Tapforms itself. Actually I put my database together myself years ago, creating a collection of my own fields but I expect there are now templates to suit most needs.

Powerful

I have been using TapForms on iPad for over 10 years. I use it for my work. 10 years ago my database was not terribly large. In the past 2 years, I have received a much larger list of clients (20x) and my contact manager became SalesForce. A good program, but it requires you to be tethered to a larger screen and a good internet connection. TapForms allows me to see customer data at my desk or on the road. Here is where TapForms shines: 1) Locally stored information. Really handy within customer sites that have little or no cell (internet) coverage. 2) If you use the synch command, you have the ability to see the data on iPad, Mac and iPhone. 3) Small size files. 4) Simple to use, if you compare it with other DBs such as Access. 5) I voice dictate my sales notes on the road directly into TapForms. Big time saver.

Really useful

Love this app, use it daily

Horrible documentation

After six months using tap forms I’ve had to give it up. Perhaps Google has something I can crib together but the lack of complete documentation in Tap Forms is too frustrating to deal with. Take something as simple as the command to “Beam Record.” It’s mentioned in a screen on the iPhone as a way to transfer data from an iPhone to a Mac. But I’ve searched all through the Mac app trying to find the command. Then I did a search in the online help for the phrase. It’s not in there! There are so many other problems such as features that are located in a menu on the iPhone but somewhere else on the Mac. Or times that a record is called a form. Unfortunately the developer seems to be a sole person who can’t keep up with all the bugs as well as new features. Bye.

Solid. Reliable. Excellent Support. Best Out There

I have been using Tap Forms since 2019 and upgraded to Tap Forms 5 in the blink of an eye. It is super powerful and adaptive for all database needs. I run my business from it and it is invaluable when it comes to recording things like fees and mileage as well as details of jobs. It makes my tax returns a doddle. I cannot recommend it too highly. The developer, Brendan, is so supportive if there is an issue (usually down to me rather than the software) and on the rare occasion when I have had to reach out his responses are pretty much immediate and problem solved quickly. In all the time I have been using Tap Forms 5 I have never lost any data. If I did it wouldn’t be that much of an issue as the backup system is solid. Buy it today- you won’t regret it - this review is unbiased and I paid gladly for the app.

Love it

It can be a little hard at first to create a customized form but it makes organizing my craft supplies so much easier. I can fill in then flip through my rubber stamps and stencils and digital papers and see everything I want to use in a journal. No, I don’t actually have everything in and nicely done. But I am adding items to categories when I find them. Also I’m adding in the mess I have of digital stuff slowly. I also have my sewing pattern collection (800+) mostly organized. I love I control what is on the forms. It has meaning to me and most of the crafters I have showed are amazed. If I decide I need more information I can just add it. I have it on my iPad. If I’m in a thrift store I can see if I have that sewing pattern or rubber stamp. I also use keywords so I can see if I really need another cat rubber stamp. (I don’t but I probably will). Also I don’t have to keep paying to be able to use this program. So overall it is a wonderful product.

VERY HAPPY!

With a bit of basic support, which I found, was very readily available!
I’m off to the races!
My first and very successful project was an accounting program.
I have now expanded into multiple other programs, such as inventory, health, even family tree, plus many others! The biggest limitation might be your imagination?
Thank You Brendan!
