Nice app but complication fail on new watch faces

Old watch faces complication works great, but sadly not on the new watch faces. Still a great app but if complication could be fixed would be even better

Great App and Customer Service

Wonderful!

BEST pomodoro app in the App Store. Don’t listen to the poor reviewers

So I was hesitant to buy an app with only poor reviews and not a lot of ratings. But let me tell you why this app is the best app out of all the ones you can get.

Reasons for why you should pick this app over any other app; it’s well worth the money:

1. It is exactly what you want: a productivity timer app with a gorgeous interface, and none of the extra gimmicks of “making a list, cross compatibility and all that” we don’t need these we just want a clean beautiful app that does what it should.

2. The best feature of this app hands down, and the sole reason that I would never use any other pomodoro app: I can directly configure my pomodoro app right from my watch, without using my iPhone. So this means my watch is not dependant on iPhone notifications to notify me it’s time for break or break is over.

Why is this useful? Because you can turn airplane mode on your watch, and you won’t receive any notifications from your iPhone! So you can have uninterrupted sessions of productivity, and when you’re taking a break just grab your phone for the notifications you missed or toggle airplane mode off from watch control centre.

This is the best feature because other apps don’t give you the ability to do this, they are dependant on your phone meaning if you use airplane mode, your phone won’t be Able to send timer notifications to let you know it’s time for a break. And if you use Do Not Disturb, then no notifications will appear at all and you’ll miss the break notification again. And if you don’t do either, you’ll periodically be bombarded with your notifications which was extremely distracting when I’m trying to focus.

3. It’s got complications (can add to Watch faces) - this is a huge plus! Yes the app itself is just an analog timer with no digital counter (which the developer should add I agree) but the fact it’s got complications, you can create a watch face specifically for it. I am using the “X-LARGE” watch face in the Apple Watch, and it gives me a clean timer for silo, and a nice minimal look with just the current time and the countdown.

That’s perfect and I don’t gotta go in the app to use it i can just swipe to the watch face. It’s exactly what I want, I don’t want to have to go in app all the time to use it because I am constantly using these apps for productivity, having to go in the app all the time is cumbersome.

Looking online everyone recommends focus for the pomodoro timer. But I’ve tried focus, along with around 5 other apps, and this one wins. Well worth the $2! The cost of coffee to insure your productivity??? That’s a no brainer.

I just want to say I am in no way affiliated with the developer at all. I just spent a considerable amount of time looking for a pomodoro timer that just works how it should, and tried a bunch. And unfortunately there isn’t a big market for this type of timer which is crazy because improving your productivity and limiting your phone use is one of the best ways to use the watch. So that is why I’m writing an in depth review of this app, so that you may see that the others who left bad reviews don’t know it’s full functionality and why it’s the best. Highly recommend.

Does not notify

I followed the debugging instructions and it worked only briefly after that.

Poor response in app

This app on the Apple Watch doesn’t let you know when the focus time is up and it jumps out when the watch screen goes off. Tends to also log when you haven’t auctioned sometimes. Great idea poorly executed the screens are ok but again the vibration and alarm for a finished focus session don’t seem to work on the watch.
The timer analogue display is good but should have the Digital under neath as well.
iPhone seems to work ok.
With a few little tweaks it would be a great little app.
Maybe play some of your favorite music which a person could select when its time for a break.

Not worth your time

Interface is clean, but does not provide enough information such as amount of time left. Analog only display of time left. Watch and Phone are not synchronized, so focus sessions started on watch are not shown on phone and vice versa. Phone interface is lacking compared to watch.

Asking for a refund.

Haptic Feedback on Apple Watch doesn’t work

Doesn’t vibrate when time is over

Disappointed.

Just downloaded it today, has failed to alert me twice to get back to work. Alert works fine at the start of the break but not at the end. Please fix. Thank you.

Nice watch app for timeboxing

This is the kind of focus timer I’ve been looking for, I really like the complication and the nudge when the timer is up. It’s simple, clean, and unobtrusive.

The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think the cycles feature is really confusing. I couldn’t find any explanation for why the cycles exists, and only really got it after trial and error.

Basically, the cycles just repeats the work + break cycle that number of times. Seems obvious, but here’s the catch: it doesn’t seem to log work time unless you complete *all* the cycles. So if you choose 4x, but only do two cycles, that work won’t be recorded. Secondly, if you choose the 1x cycle, it seems to skip the break altogether and just exit.

If I could suggest an improvement, I think the cycles feature could be removed altogether, and instead at the end of a work/break timer it could give you a few options: Start break, start work, dismiss. Then, it just repeats as many times as the user doesn’t press dismiss.

Watch app is exactly what I wanted for 5 x (10 + 2)

My first exposure to the timed break technique was as a quintet of ten minute + two minute work-break periods per hour. Silo works well as a Watch-implementation for that, and even supports the 52+17 period that Nicholas Bloom, James Liang, John Roberts, and Zhichun Jenny Ying found most effective in their 2013 experiments.

Pause, resume, skip are all on the wrist.

Less risk of distraction from Watch than from iOS, too.
