Joe & Charlie Big Book 12 steps
I enjoyed the Joe & Charlie Big Book 12step tapes when I was newer in AA. I now have them on my phone. I’ve been sober 37 yrs this Nov. 17th.. Sometimes, I can attend a meeting of mostly old timers that uses the Joe & Charlie tapes. After they listen to part of the chapter they talk about it. It’s a great meeting. Joe and Charlie were good AA and good people.

Big Book Brilliance
As a new member of the fellowship I gained a much deeper understanding of the history of AA, the 12 steps and why the program works. Highly beneficial when you can’t get to a meeting or feel irritable, restless and discontent.
Great app
I love Joe & Charlie’s explanation of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. It was because of their explanation and example for Step Three I was finally able to move forward.

AA Joe & Charlie Big Book Work
I’ve been doing the twelve steps for years and didn’t really understand them until I listened to Joe & Charlie. Very no nonsense down to earth approach that gives insight into the history and practical wisdom of AA. I’ve listened to it several times over and it’s never boring.
Can play offline
Brilliant app. But the best bit for me is that you don’t need Wi-Fi or internet connection to play it once you have saved it your device. Perfect for out and about and always available. Love the transcript too to be able to read along with speakers
Do not buy this app
Sadly this app does not work if you want to listen in the car. Why? If an alarm goes off on your iPhone, or a phone call rings whilst listening...the only way you can restart listening is by going into the app and pressing the displayed pause button ...and then play. Even if you see a play button on the Home Screen it will not restart unless you go into the app and pause first then play

I really enjoyed the history of AA; I very much enjoy knowing the history of the program that saved my life!!
The speaker tapes are amazing; I love the quick access to my fellows!
I wish one thing was different about the app…. I wish we could mark if we have listened to something; I find myself losing my place in each area; my workaround is to carry a little note pad and note what I have listened to.

Excellent resource
So many high quality texts in audio form, and other inspirational and practical resources. The purchase is worth it to gain access to all of the workshops and audiobooks that cost more if purchased on their own. The app is well organized and easy to use. Sven though it’s available for free elsewhere, it would still be nice to have access to the actual literature here as well.
