Great App - some issues
The old version potentially had less glitches. I cannot seem to add a superset exercise without it erasing the name of the exercise + there is always an error notification at the top of the screen.
Also seem to have trouble creating new exercises - the ‘add name’ button is there but non-responsive.
Would love to see this fixed.
Great app all around otherwise
Response from developer
Hello! Thank you very much for the feedback. I want to fix these issues asap. Can you please send a video with reproducing it? It will really help. Please send it to gymjoy.ios@gmail.com
Update ruined it
Response from developer
I'm truly sorry for the loss of your data following the recent major update of my app. This update was essential as the old database framework was outdated and no longer supported, posing a risk of the app stopping to work in the future. The new version uses the new SwiftData database framework for improved stability and iCloud sync across all devices. I understand how distressing this situation is and regret any inconvenience caused. But I had to do it sooner or later.
All my plans had been deleted

I was use it mb a 3 weeks , so that good and easy to use
Features
I have supersets/circuits in my routines.
I would like for the option for app to automatically display the next exercise in the superset/ circuit rather than display the next set for the same exercise.
sweet but could use some things
Great app - clean and simple
Just started using Gym Joy, and really liking it. The clean, simple interface is your winning element - keep that up. I’ll post a more comprehensive review on the App Store once I’ve spent a bit more time getting used to it.
In the meantime, two requests for simple improvements which shouldn’t clutter the simple interface...
When setting up an exercise as part of a routine, could you:
1. Provide the capability to select the term of
measurement eg.
- Weight: kg / lb (for weight exercises)
- Time: secs / min (eg. for battle ropes)
- Number, as total or “each side” (eg
walking dumbbell lunges)
2. Provide capability for optional entry of
brief notes, eg. your personal settings on
a particular machine.
Cheers, and keep up the good work! Keep away from all the dross & distracting eye candy found on most other apps. Clean, simple, effective - that’s your winning formula.
Poor weight
Response from developer
You can set any weight increase/decrease for each exercise. Swipe left on an exercise, tap Edit and change it. If you tap on weight, keyboard appears, so you can set even decimal number. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at hi@gymjoyapp.com
