  • Product did not meet expectations

Rerouting capability is a complete failure. Compass is not accurate. What’s the point of a navigation tool that you can’t rely on? Just mount your phone to your bike and be done with it and never worry about it again. Completely regret purchasing this product.
  • Beeline Moto

The app works just fine, and the device itself is a quality piece of kit. It’s the first Kickstarter project I’ve ever been totally satisfied with. It’s just a pity that the kit doesn’t include a wider range of mounts as standard.
  • Black numbered map markers

Amending my comment. Discovered a bug where the distance markers are being added incorrectly. Cofounder reaches out to me to let me know they are fixing it in the next version. Great app and really love the moto device.
  • App is lacking with GPX Integration

I’ve been using apps for GPX file sharing after route planning and this one seems to be very weak in that arena. Importing a GPX file shows every single via point as well as waypoint. Causes routes to not be able to switch to route mode for navigation due to exceeding the 25 waypoint limit. This will need to be fixed for any real GPX integration capabilities.

  • Search function doesn’t seem to work.

I’ve been trying this for a few days now and it’s garbage software. The search function simply does not work. Not that that matters as the Beeline Moro would appear to be vapourware anyway. The communication on Kickstarter has dried up completely with no product in sight. It’s the risk you run with Kickstarter. It’s a shame as the promised product looked truly awesome.

  • Not ready for city biking

There is promise with this device. With future firmware upgrades, functionality is likely to be added that will make this device usable for the common city rider. Today I would not recommend it to other than early adopters. I have used it for about 150 miles of biking in central London. City streets are far too complex to rely on navigation from this device. I am continually riding past my turns. I don’t know if that due to a slow processor, poor GPS signal in city canyons, missing cues on the interface, or a combination of those. You have to keep going back and relying on a map app on your phone, which negates having the device in the first place. If I have to keep relying on my phone, there is no real use for the device. I look forward to trying it on country roads where there is less complexity, and the device should be able to cope.

I am also hoping for better ability to map quiet routes in cities and routes that avoid crowded walkways like canal tow paths in London. The app takes me on routes that are a little scary at times. Perhaps a teaming with CycleStreets would help.

  • Good app, needs a freestyle mode

I like the app a lot, and the Beeline device is AWESOME! That said, I think it could do with tracking your distance covered in a freestyle mode (if this is a thing, I'm totally unaware of it). Definitely a useful app for cyclists!
  • Wish had more predone route selection

Great app used it today without the GPS unit to try and see how I liked it before I ordered the beeline. I wish that the app had some functionality other than “cycling, walking, driving” and had something like avoid highways or curvier routes. other than that the app is sharp and probably going to order a beeline unit.

  • Beautiful and functional app

Well designed and fun app. Paired with Beeline’s smart compass, it works wonderfully as a way to navigate through urban areas on a bike. Uses current google maps data.
  • Great app and product

I am a Kickstarter backer for the beeline and am pretty happy with it and the companion app. Would be better if the app fed biking data to the Apple Health App for central data visualization.
