**updated 8/20** Newest redesign update 5.0 is tolerable
8/20 update 5.4 okay this latest update they returned the percent and miles left for gas cars, thank you. Most of the bugs seem to be fixed. Performance is okay, at least much better than the 5.0 update. Remote start is getting more reliable, but it still not the same as before the 5.0 update for gas cars
7/23 update 5.3 *** okay they updated the gas cars to use percent, INSTEAD of the miles left. Seriously? That’s not what we asked. We want BOTH. The complaint is that you guys REMOVED information that was previously there. We want the miles left AND fuel percentage Previous review: going back to one star because I found out the remote start is not working because it keeps thinking the vehicle is ON when its actually OFF **update** to two stars, vehicle health is fixed, so oil health and mileage are visible again, but most of my complaints below are still unaddressed. I want to see fuel gauge, not just miles left. Previous review: The redesign is not ready yet. There’s lots of bugs for non EV cars Vehicle health doesn’t work, you can no longer see oil health, tire pressure The status of the car (on/off/locked ) is also not accurate anymore. Also the new UI doesn’t show the gas level anymore, only shows remaining miles. Overall there just seems significantly less information than beforeShow lessDeveloper Response
Hi – We appreciate you taking your time and leaving us feedback. Please upgrade to 5.0.1 if you haven’t already. They can be found under the Service tab and then select Vehicle Health. If that is not working for you, please contact our help team by emailing us at fp_feedback@ford.com with your VIN, FordPass username (email) and screenshot of the issue with the reference ID 69307756. -MR 5/30Latest update removed a high use feature; Miles to Empty.
Worked great until unwarranted changes were made. The latest update removed the Miles to Empty and replaced with a Fuel Percentage Remaining symbol. This was not a necessary change as it now removes the option of planning reasonable route stops correlating with fuel needs for those monitoring and assisting loved ones trips remotely. Not sure why the need to change to a fuel percentage was needed or the purpose, was told by a Ford representative that it was a requested change which I find very hard to believe unless the request came via a small app development team. The multiple forums with thousands of users for our Mustang, Maverick, F150 and Explorer groups are loudly upset with this feature removal, so contrary to the explanation given by Ford, this was not a request made by the overall end user group as a majority whole.
Otherwise the app has been good, sometimes the updates messes with things and moves things around which can be annoying but overall has been a great resource for maintaining my multiple Ford vehicles as well as my loved ones.Show less5.0.2 update still broken
Still waiting on a good update for the new version as Ford released 5.0.2 today and still broken 🙁 For my 2018 Escape still have these issues: 1. Not able to do a remote start as the app states the vehicle is on until x:xx time. Try to slide to turn the vehicle off and get the message failed to turn off vehicle, when the vehicle is not on at all. Did do a scheduled remote start and the vehicle did start even with the message above and then able to use the slide bar to turn it off with no problems and able to do non-scheduled remote starts. However once you drive the vehicle again and turn it off the app again states the vehicle is on until x:xx time. Why does a remote start work with a scheduled restart and not the other way with the app thinking the vehicle is on ? ? ? 2. Vehicle health got fixed in 5.0.1 but still no readings for tire pressure. 3. Still not able to enter my service information. Has all prior information and states is from prior owner. 4. Please bring back the fuel gauge reading, not helpful to just see the mileage range. If Ford in the future wants some any beta testers I surely would do this for them as I beta test many applications for other software vendors. Problem is there is no place I can find with Ford to volunteer for such.Show less
