Thankful for this app!
Our LifeGroup uses a combination of the apps Holy Bible and Through the Word and both are phenomenal. Streetlights was available in the additional resources section of the book of 1st Corinthians in Holy Bible app. I LOVE the scripture readings with the urban feel audio with music in the background. I found that though I was listening to the same Bible version, I was able to comprehend it much better with Streetlights audio. Thank you so much for taking the time and initiative to make this app. I’m 49 years old and love it 😊. My adult stepchildren are not yet saved, but I KNOW Streetlights will make The Bible feel accessible to them when they open their hearts to the reality of Jesus’ love. God bless you all!

Game changer
I’ve always been intimidated when it comes to reading the Bible. There is so many words that don’t really resonate with me. Street light is very captivating with the sound of the mute music along with the energy of the person reading the Scriptures and they deliver it in a way that is very easy for me to understand and digest. I am beyond grateful for the missionaries at street lights. Keep up the great work you’ve definitely helped bring this man closer to God!!!

Best Bible Audio, But Hope for More Translations
This is the only Bible audio I know so far that doesn’t have one monotonous voice that reads the whole passage. It features different voices for characters, tones of voices fitting for context, and light music in the background. I only wish that Streetlights will include different translations, like the ESV, CSB, and NKJV soon. However, it takes much effort and work to do this, so it may be a future project that requires support, time, and painstaking (but worthwhile) effort. In addition, I preferred a previous version of the app that allowed each chapter to play even when my phone closes and doesn’t immediately refresh to the next chapter but allows one to pause at the exact place (like an audio bookmark).

Awesome AND Annoying
This is an amazing app. I absolutely love the material and the content. What a beautiful way for this kind of talent to be displayed!
Not sure if it is my old phone or what... but anytime a track/chapter ends and I do not have my phone opened to the app... it will not automatically proceed to the next track. I have to pick my phone back up, pull open the app for it to proceed to the next track. Terribly annoying.

Game Changer
A friend recommended this to me so I downloaded it and started using this in the car. I normally do audiobooks or podcasts, but I’m trying to reduce the outside voices in my life. This is such an awesome way to hear the Word of God during those moments. And I love that my kids are hearing scripture and in a way that feels so alive rather than the normal monotone reading you get from the Bible app.

God’s word in a fresh way!...
Jesus on a beat! I love it!! I have two suggestions for improvement. I wish these were downloadable for listening offline, and for some reason, when I listen to these, it doesn’t show up on the Lock Screen to play and pause. If you guys could fix these, that would be a game changer!!

I honestly love this app. I completely agree with most previous reviews. I like that this is NLT, it's easy to listen to for a young-in-the-Lord believer. Even an older believer can enjoy! I've shared it a bunch. Showed our youth group leader so he can share with the youth. I just love it. I love the attitude in the readings. Makes it more real, more relatable.

Good recordings, bad app
The recordings are great but the app itself needs some work. It is lacking some basic features that would make it so much nicer to use, such as:
- remember your spot when you close and re-open the app
- automatically advance to the next chapter without unlocking your phone
- control playback from the lock screen

Great!
This production is engaging and keeps you coming back for more. This has really helped me with my bible reading plan. Chill beats help you focus and keep your mind from wandering while you listen to the incredible voice artists read scripture to you. Only complaint is the app doesn’t save your spot so you have to find the chapter where you left off. Otherwise it’s great!
