Asleep on the Job

It used to send me the occasional weather alert, but never kept up with all the things that other agencies were alerting me to -- and now it's just dead. Tried reinstalling it even -- nothing.

Not very informative

We have a wildfire just down the road. Huge planes dropping retardant, fire trucks everywhere, getting text from my county department of public safety, but not a single alert or anything from this app. Great for letting me know about red flag conditions though. 🤷‍♂️ Excuse me, I have to get ready to evacuate now.

Still Seeing Old & Moldy Alerts

March 23, 2023
Since posting the review below, I have found another way to clear old (& no longer useful) alerts, remove then add the location covered by the alerts. This is slightly faster than deleting, downloading & reconfiguring the app.

I am giving a one star because it appears the developer is not interested in fixing this problem as I see people have been pointing it out for several years. There should be a means (e. g. swipe left or an Edit function that people could select alerts to remove.) What value is there in in keeping alerts that have have expired long ago still in the list? The only way I could find to remove the old alerts is to delete this app (which removes all data associated with the app), install it again & reconfigure the app. This sounds like the horrible things I hear about PCs!

Hello steve-of-indiana, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Expired alerts can be hidden using the 3 dots in the top right corner. Please let us know if you have any other feedback or suggestions at https://support.konexus.com/kb-tickets/new.

Could use improvement

I get alerts, but once they expire you can’t get rid of them. They just accumulate. I don’t want to waste limited memory on expired alerts. Make a way to clear expired alerts or a way to clear the cache without having to delete the app.

Can’t reliably see alerts

I frequently have this problem:

1. I get an alert notification
2. I click on the app to see the alert
3. The app shows 0 alerts - the windows are just blank for both list view and map view.
4. Eventually after I’ve closed and opened the app a bunch of times and toggled my location settings on/off I can see the alerts, but it’s not clear what causes the app to work again.

My local county government recommends this app for getting emergency alerts, so I am writing this review in hope that the devs can fix this issue because people are relying on this service to get crucial information. The only reason I downloaded this app was to be able to get emergency alerts, and if the app can’t perform that function reliably then I’m not sure what the point of the app would be.

Please remove outdated alerts

No matter where I look I cannot find any instructions on how to delete old and expired alerts. Others have commented about the same problem.

Why hasn’t this been fixed?

I use this app because it was recommended by our community services.

Alert flags sometimes don’t go away

Still warns, but this is annoying. I opened each alert, current and past. No luck. Restarting the phone (the time honored Microsoft fix for poorly written code) did not work either.

I like it but it’s not the best

Now I love this app because it gives me alerts for almost everything about weather but my weather apps like the weather channel and Red Cross emergency give me the all alerts but on a radar but it’s still a really good app! ⚡️⛈🌪

How to delete old alerts

Great app except it has no way of deleting the old alerts and constantly shows that I have alerts. Irritating to say the least.
